Excellent choice

The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was excellent, they have the best chicken and very reasonable prices. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The hotel was close to public transport or about 20 minutes walk to town, I recommend it fully

Disappointing.

Welcomed by the owners, who did their best to make us feel at home. Our room was clean, quite large though basically furnished. Although the website stated that wifi was free and available in all areas, we found this not to be the case, and certainly not in our room; however, with some experience we found places where we could find a signal in other areas of the gasthof. Breakfast was OK; we stayed three nights....the first morning was a set breakfast and a bit basic....the other two were more buffet style.. We ate there on two of our evenings, and food was good, well presented and plentiful.
On the negative side, the gasthof location is about a mile from the town centre, and not in the most salubrious of areas. While clean, they need to modernise the whole place and look at what is on offer at other hotels of a similar size, as they seem to be lagging behind. For example, towels were like boards, there was no display or hotel information in the room, and even a little chocolate on the pillow on the first evening would have been good......all little things, but they all add up. If they don't modernise and change their outlook, I can't see them being there in five years time.

Warm Family - Great Dinner

We came in for a single night stay after a long day of hiking and had a fantastic dinner. Siggy and Heidi run a lovely inn, and he is a fantastic cook. The accommodations are clean and simple. Breakfast is also rather simple but more than adequate. Nice folks!

This place is close to the bahnhof - but 15-20 min. walk from downtown.
The staff was very friendly and it seemed like they cared about their guests!
The room was basic - my duvet was very short (and I am not tall!) and it actually bothered me all night. The wifi didn't work during my stay.
The breakfast was OK - like any other Gasthof, nothing speciel.

Very pleasant

We were in room 4 and enjoyed our stay, the pleasant room, excellent shower and good food and hospitality of our hosts. Only the towels left a little to be desired...We walked to and from the banhof to this hotel. Very good value especially the dinner.
