Highly recommended!
Hotel in the 2nd district but central. Quiet area, served by a nearby market with many small eateries. Very close to two metro stations for any type of transportation. With a walk, you can easily reach the city center on foot. Young, helpful, and kind staff. A credit to the wonderful Enrica who, being Italian, easily resolves everything for you. Ours was a spacious triple room with a private bathroom. Cleaning and linen change can be done daily, but you must communicate the day before, and for anything else, just ask. The kitchen is available for all guests to use. I absolutely recommend it. P.S. There is also a billiards table!

Compromise
Chosen for a short stay to discover Vienna, it is convenient as it is not far from the metro. The concept is a hybrid between hostel and B&B: the breakfast excluded from the room price marks a negative point both for the price and for the variety of the choice proposed. The rooms are basic but complete with the necessary, negative note the inconvenience of the pillows and the absence of additional pillows in the room. The reception raises the score: very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Yes for pious nights, no for longer stays.

Not for me
We came to Vienna to experience the city and its Christmas markets. To be honest, ChatGPT recommended this hotel as a great, budget-friendly choice. We arrived on Wednesday night and immediately struggled: the room was unbearably hot, with the heating on full blast. (To be fair, we encountered this in several places across the city — restaurants, cafés, even some shops — but it was especially overwhelming in the room.)
The room itself looked basic but clean. As we usually stay in Airbnbs, our initial impression wasn’t terrible. The problems started when we realised that, despite being called a hotel, they couldn’t provide basic items such as extra towels or pillows — and the pillows they did have were the worst I’ve ever used: flat, lumpy, and completely unsupportive.
We were exhausted, so we went straight to bed, not realising that the sofa-bed (the third bed they charged us for) was completely unusable. It doesn’t lie flat and is as hard as stone. The main beds weren’t much better: small, uncomfortable, and you can feel the springs poking into your body. In all honesty, I have barely slept for four nights.
The rooms are also quite noisy. Not constantly, but you can hear students partying until at least midnight. To add to it, the TV is tiny, and when the remote stopped working the receptionist told us they didn’t have any spare batteries.
All in all, if you’re looking for a hostel-type experience and you’re a young student, this place might be fine. But as a family being charged nearly €800 for four nights, an Airbnb would have made far more sense.

Friendly staff
I would particularly like to highlight the receptionist Sonja, who has shown exceptional commitment and has made sure that you immediately feel comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent and the rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast I would recommend somewhere else – the nearby carmelite market offers very good options.
