Perfect holiday with everything you need to relax

Super great hotel, you won't miss anything here...super delicious food, very friendly, lovingly run family hotel with a great location, a super nice wellness area inside and outside and a breathtaking landscape...we had a super nice room with a mountain view and the weather was perfect too...we'll be back.....

Huge room, rich meals

We were lucky to get a really spacious room on our arrival with a nice balcony overlooking the mountains. As far as food is concerned, their buffet dinner is ridiculously rich and tasty and the breakfast is equally amazing. The staff is friendly and welcoming and always ready to offer you a schnapps. Some problems with the water temperature and pressure in the shower.

Fantastic Hotel for Skitrip to Hochkonig

This was a really nice hotel where everything just worked. The service was excellent and the facilities very good. The rooms were large and equipped with everying you could need. The food was very good with a great breakfast buffet, afternoon snacks/cake and then a four course evening meal included in the price. One evening was a gala menu and the food quality was excellent. The price were fair. 4.50 euro for a beer and 30 euro for a decent bottle of wine. The staff were very attentive and genuinely very friendly. Facilities wise it had an indoor and outdoor pool which was nice after a days skiing to relax the muscles. The hotel even arranged a taxi pickup from Salzburg as well. If you know the Hochkonig ski area then this is hotel is in Dienten which is smack bang in the middle of the ski circuit. The hotel is a bout 5-10 mins walk from the ski lifts. The hotel also has a wellness area with various steam rooms and other treatments available. Intially I thought the price per person per night was quite high BUT having stayed there I think its fair. You really do get a lot for your money. More than happy to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to ski in Hochkonig.

" Excellent food " is the headline of the Mitterwirt

I`ve already written a review of this hotel, but for some reason my review disappeared ...
The slopes in Dienten were quite steep at least to our age although we managed well. Therefore, my buddy from Vienna and I from Oslo were daily looking forward to the delicious culinary creations of their Chef and his team.
Their Pinzgauer Buffet offered a variety of local and regional dishes accompanied by local Zither music. Their daily menus were tasty and of high quality. Beyond all, their Gala Menu. We`ve been to many places in Austria, but their kitchen was way above most other 4 star hotels. Their wine selection was also acceptable and not too highly priced, either.
Even their breakfast and their afternoon treatment were excellent. Maybe we were so excited, because Dienten is not exactly known as the hotspot for winter vacation and therefore had no high expectations ahead of our stay.
The room was spacious and well equipped and offering a wide selection of TV-channels. The room and the bathroom were kept very clean and fresh. So was the impression of the entire hotel.
Their health & wellness spa offers various treatments.
The staff was very attentive and utmost friendly.
The view from my room was spectacular.
The ski shuttle bus stops right outside the main entrance.
Nothing negative ?
Well, the indoor swimming area could need some shine up. We did not use the option of the outdoor swimmingpool. Another surprise was the lack of shops apart from a ski shop and a very small food shop. But I figured, a quite relaxing skiing vacation, too as you were not constantly forced to buy something where ever you were.
