Me and my wife felt like king and queen of the Alps here. This hotel is fantastic. The owner also showed us how to access a nearby Alp top reachable by car at some 2500 meters, with snow at the end of May. We recommend this hotel highly! /Bengt Wiberg President and founder of Stingfree.se

Beautiful location.
The rooms lacked basic amenities such as a refrigerator and a coffee or tea-making facility, which would have made the stay more comfortable.

Great stay here. Can't wait to go back. The hostess was so nice. Wish we had stayed more nights here. It was really quiet when we were here. Beautiful and tranquil. Not too far from Salzburg and the beautiful Hallstatt.

Breakfast and sauna/spa were marvelous! So helpful and supportive. Quiet, clean, and comfortable, rich with history and culture.
Some members of the staff were very kind, caring, and supportive. Others were not as warm.
I greatly appreciated being given an entry ticket to the spectacular Salzach River Chasm, which was literally outside the door!!
My only complaint is that someone was smoking outside of my window for many hours, all evening. I had to keep my window closed until late into the night, and the room still smelled like stale smoke. I am very allergic to cigarette smoke, so this was very unpleasant and kept me from sleeping and from enjoying my room.
Shower had perfect water pressure and temperature.
It would be nice to equip the rooms with a hot water pot and tea mugs. Otherwise, a lovely stay in a spectacular setting! Thank you so much!

Nice little hotel with friendly staff but poor room
Nice little hotel passing through Italy:
Positive
-Good breakfast, but you have to ask for scrambled eggs or fried eggs yourself, is not available at the buffet and is not offered by itself
- Very nice staff especially the young lady in the afternoon and evening. Always reserved a table in the restaurants
- nice playroom for children
- nice little wellness area
- free admission to the Salzach Gorge
Negatives
- had booked a suite, which should be at least 34 square meters, the room certainly does not have 34 square meters.
- Condition of our room no. 5: is old and might need a renovation here and there
- tiny bathroom and small too short bed (160×190) for us as tall people an imposition (the room is advertised with superior beds, which is simply exaggerated)
- Cleaning staff simply enter the room without knocking
- although advertised there was no hairdryer in the bathroom and there was no kettle (hair dryer we then found on the last day in a desk drawer...really makes sense to store it there and not in the sink cabinet in the bathroom ;))
- and now what annoyed me the most: there were some defects in the room e.g. a loose toilet goggle, door handle in the bathroom was very loose as screws were missing, soap dispenser in the bathroom defective, door handle to the balcony was also loose. Despite multiple responses at the reception and the cleaning staff, exactly nothing happened in 4 days! We were offered another room, only we had already set up with toddler, which would have been very cumbersome to pack and move everything again.
Precisely because of the last point there are only 3 stars, because I already feel it an outrage not to repair and ignore such eigtl quickly fixable but unpleasant defects and that after multiple responses..for this you do not need a specialist company or caretaker. With cordless screwdrivers and suitable screws, you would have gotten that fixed as a layman. We would have done it ourselves. At least at checkout we could have been accommodated financially.
