Take your time

This is my sixth year in a row spending my August holidays at this hotel. Here I find everything I need to make my holiday relaxing and perfect.

Amazing hotel

We had a wonderful week at Hotel Edelweiss! The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, our room was beautiful, beds were extremely comfortable and whole room and hotel absolutely spotless. The fluffy bathrobes, slippers and toiletries were very much appreciated, as was the lovely tea and coffee. The spa area was heaven at the end of a day hiking up the mountains, and what a view! We enjoyed the food most of all, breakfast was the best we've had at a hotel, and dinner wow! What beautifully presented delicious food! The only pity was that we never managed to squeeze in the cheese course! The waiting staff were so polite and kind, and all spoke excellent English, and were so polite about our terrible Austrian/German! We must make an effort to learn some more for our next trip. Our children aged 12 and 15 were very much welcomed and were allowed to use the pool, and we noticed there were lots of families with well behaved children with them. Our children being a bit older were happy to be adventurous and enjoyed the adult menus but there were children's menus available for younger guests as well. The only improvement we could suggest would be to have a lighter duvet on the beds and fans in the rooms in hot weather, it was very warm when we were there, but I think unusually so. Thank you Hotel Edelweiss for looking after us on our first trip to beautiful Austria, we would love to come back!

Nice hotel

- very nice room
- clean hotel
- super nice staff
- nice swimming pool
- good location
- Food was good but for a 4-star hotel we expected more
- We missed traditional dishes
- Children's menu a bit boring for a 7-day stay, could be more varied and healthier.
What we did not like at all is that the drinks were all dispensed from a machine —> only syrup drinks. In the bar, the children drank juice or something else, and it was all dispensed from the machines. I think that is completely unacceptable. The hotel did not have a normal juice. A real shame.
Otherwise, by and large, the hotel was great.

Wellness oasis in Hinterglemm

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Edelweiss. Everything was just right. The stylish decor, the great food, and incredibly warm hosts. We can recommend it without reservation and would love to come back.
