Smješten u srcu Innsbrucka, prvi dizajnerski hotel u gradu otvorio je svoja vrata i obogatio grad arhitektonskim draguljem. PENZ odiše modernošću, a istovremeno pruža luksuzno gostoprimstvo na tradicionalan način.

An excellent base for visiting Innsbruck.
This summer my husband and I decided to go to Innsbruck since we were in the area, the problem of where to sleep arose, so we booked this hotel via the Internet.
What can I say, expectations more than met, room cleanliness very good, room a bit small but livable. Bathroom with hairdryer provided and courtesy kit (mini size of shower gel, really delicious, shampoo, body lotion, hand soap), vanity set and shower cap. Minibar stocked. The only flaws are the minibar light that stays on, the lack of an outlet to charge the phone on one side of the bed while the other is behind the nightstand, which is inconvenient, the lack of a double pillow, and the lack of disposable slippers.
Amazing breakfast, exotic fruit of all kinds in addition to the traditional kind. Variety of jams and juices. Possibility to order eggs in all styles and pancakes. Good balance between sweet and savory.
We also used the bar on the 5th floor in the evening for a drink; prices are a bit high, but given the location, it's acceptable.
Unfortunately, there is no restaurant, so you have to manage outside, but watch out for the dinner time because in Austria they eat dinner early. The partner parking garage is very convenient, which allows you to find yourself directly in the hotel lobby via elevator, thus avoiding getting wet in case of rain. Excellent location near the center and the most visited attractions. If I were to return to Innsbruck, I would definitely come back here!

Staff always gracious. Re maintenance. My bedroom blackout curtain was hanging
off the last two hooks entire time I was there.
The other thing is that their tv services do not include Netflix and other channels
like that. Needs updating. Particularly since the only English speaking programme
is CNN heaven help us. Whatever happened to global BBC??? Not every English
speaking person is up to hear CNN raving about their President constantly.
Those were the only drawbacks. Location splendid. Breakfast room is lovely.

internet dropping all the time. I complained 5 straight days in a row and nothing
happened. Gave up. I am now situated in another hotel in Salzburg and have
absolutely no issue at all with their internet. Solid. So telling me my computer was
the problem was nonsense clearly.
At least the staff were pleasant each time I complained !!!! But nothing.....

Staff did not do a thorough checkin. Did not give us the citypass, I found out about it on our last day, so missed out on free transit/train and bikes; even concert.

- Clean and well maintaned and smells good all the time
- reponsible, respectful and friendly staff
- breakfast was delicious and so many variety of food but a bit too expensive in my opinion.
- The staff at the breakfast proposed me to prepare a customized omelete specifically for me since I have a strict diet which was awesome and the staff check on you frequently while you are having your breakfast.
- Location is awesome: less than 1 min walk to the main historical streets, there is a gallerian shopping mall right beside the hotel, great restaurants and the bus station is just 1 min walk.
- Totally great, and I would come here again if I visit Innsbruck

A perfect stay in the heart of Innsbruck – exceptionally wheelchair‑friendly and truly outstanding staff
We stayed at The Penz from 8–14 June 2026, and our experience could not have been better.
The location is absolutely ideal – just around the corner from Maria‑Theresien‑Strasse and the Old Town.
The hotel is very wheelchair‑friendly. We were offered an accessible room, but my husband preferred a room with a bathtub, and even the standard room had more than enough space for his mobility scooter. Everything was easy, comfortable and thoughtfully arranged.
A very special thank‑you goes to Ms. Vittoria, who helped us with extraordinary patience, experience and kindness during a difficult Lufthansa situation. The hotel was not obliged to assist us at all, yet she went far beyond anything we expected. We are deeply grateful.
Our thanks also go to the rest of the reception team – Mr. Marvin Pensi, Joshua, Ms. Remi and Ms. Angel – all of whom were consistently warm, attentive and genuinely helpful.
Breakfast on the 5th floor was a daily highlight. The selection is excellent, including exotic fruits, and eggs can be prepared exactly as you like them. I love poached eggs, and they were perfect every morning.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Mr. Christopher, the kindest and most charming breakfast manager one could wish for. And also to Mrs. Büchele, Craig, Leon Lucas, and many others whose names we unfortunately did not catch – every single person contributed to a wonderful start to the day.
The 5th‑floor bar is also lovely — a bit on the expensive side, but very stylish with a fantastic view over Innsbruck. A great place to end the evening.
We will definitely return to The Penz and can recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Innsbruck.
