Objekt Die Nockalm nalazi se u Turracher Hoheu, na 41 km od znamenitosti Millstatt Abbey, te nudi smještaj koji sadrži terasu, besplatno privatno parkiralište, bar i izravan pristup skijaškoj stazi.

Escaped the heat – and found nine wonderful days
Three reasons why we felt so comfortable on the Turracher Höhe and in the “Nockalm”:
We are a couple from Bad Vöslau (58/62) and were here in mid-August 2026 – especially to escape the summer heat in eastern Austria. And the Turracher Höhe is actually perfect for that.
1. Wonderful climate:
It's often 10 to 15 degrees less up here than down in the city. Comfortably warm during the day, sometimes with a slightly cool wind – ideal for hiking and activities. And wonderfully cool at night for sleeping. A dream for us in midsummer.
2. A beautiful area:
The landscape around the Turracher Höhe is truly fantastic. We particularly liked the 3-lake hike, but there are many other beautiful hikes and excursion destinations.
3. The Nockalm:
Our room was very nice, large and modern, with a really great large double shower. In addition, there is the half board with excellent food. Above all, however, Heidi and Thomas with their personal, warm nature have contributed to us not simply feeling as hotel guests, but really welcome here. It is precisely this personal atmosphere that makes the difference for us.
Of course, there are also a few things to know:
The Nockalm is located very centrally, only about 50 meters from the valley station. From about 9am, you can therefore occasionally hear the warning sounds of the lift and the enthusiastic shouts of the nocky speedsters when they arrive at the bottom. We weren't bothered by this, but absolute stillness shouldn't be expected at this point.
There are hardly any shops on the Turracher Höhe – apart from a small 24-hour shop. A larger Spar or Billa can only be reached after about ten minutes drive. For this purpose, there is an intersport including bike rental directly on site.
For pleasure mountain bikers like us, however, the area is only suitable to a limited extent. Classic cycle paths are practically non-existent, and even on a guided tour with the alpine butler, the route led partly over closed paths or areas with driving bans. Those who love trails and downhill, on the other hand, will find the Kornock Trail, the 6-seater chairlift and bike transport a modern and superbly equipped facility.
Our conclusion: We had a really successful holiday, felt very comfortable with Heidi and Thomas and would recommend the Nockalm especially to hikers, nature lovers and anyone looking for pleasant temperatures and a personal accommodation with very good food in the high summer.

My second home for 15 years
We have been coming to the Nockalm regularly for about 15 years now – both in summer and in winter – and each time my wife and I are looking forward weeks before.
Heidi and Thomas run the hotel with a warmth that is rarely found today. You feel welcome and in good hands from the first moment.
The rooms are cozy and very well maintained, and especially the quiet wellness area is a highlight every time. After a day on the slopes or a hike, there is hardly anything better than relaxing there.
The food is consistently excellent – varied, fresh and prepared with lots of love. Whether breakfast or dinner menu, everything is just right here.
The situation could hardly be better: In winter right next to the slopes, in summer just a few steps away from the Nockyflitzer. Perfect for those who love active holidays but still value peace and comfort.
For me, the Nockalm has long been more than just a hotel – it’s a place I always like to return to, like a second home. Absolutely recommend!

Very friendly and family, Heidi and Thomas are very hard at work! The food is very fine and tasteful, freshly cooked with love.
