good breakfast, spacious room

room spacious; furniture slightly old, but well maintained; small fridge available; very clean; mattress for me too soft/laid out; unfortunately no shower room (only soap and hair wash available); closet available, unfortunately only with clothes rail, therefore only partially useful; staff friendly; hospitality cozy; breakfast buffet rich; 1 free water in the room would have been nice

price/performance: good (81 eur/person/night)

Centrally located in a traditional building

Very centrally located. Room is very practical and functional.
The bikes can be stored in a lockable room.
Very quiet, as the room faces the back yard.
Staff very helpful and the breakfast buffet is extensive

Excellent experience

This is the second time we have stayed at the Rathauskeller Melk. This was a last minute booking due to other thinks being cancelled. We were greeted by Semona who was incredibly pleasant, helpful, polite and efficient while we were checking in. Her high standards of customer care continued throughout our stay. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was very busy but didn't deter the waiter from providing an excellent and pleasant service. The food was top rate at a reasonable price. The room was clean and well furnished. There was a good range of hot and cold food at the breakfast buffet. All in all a good experience and we will be back. Thank you

Nice hotel in a nice place

The hotel located very close to city hall and the city center, so the location is perfect , the (free) parking is near by, and the best restaurant in Melk is in its base floor. The room is nice, well isolate from the street noise. The One and only drawback is the WiFi that couldn’t be accessed from the room.
