Family-run jewel on Lake Millstatt

Hotel Berghof Obermillstatt – highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Berghof is a very tastefully converted into a family-friendly hotel – with great attention to detail. The rooms are modern, cozy and absolutely clean. Parking spaces are also available.
Breakfast is excellent – rich, fresh and varied. Of particular note is the host family Dertnig: competent, warm and always helpful. You feel welcome from the first moment.
The location is ideal: uphill about 30–45 minutes on foot from Millstatt and a perfect starting point for hiking and for a holiday on Lake Millstatt.
Our conclusion: A place to feel good and come back – highly recommended!

Great hotel

A beautiful and very spacious apartment on the third floor that is equipped with every luxury. Hotel is in a quiet and beautiful beautiful area. A delicious breakfast every morning. Friendly owner who also gives you great tips for fun trips.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast

We where a group of 13 persons. We experienced excellent friendly service. A quiet location outside town with good parking space was perfect for us. Good beds and blinds on windows made me sleep like a baby for 8 hrs stright . Breakfast was also excellent

Good uphill option

Hotel Berghof is actually in Ober Millstatt, or Upper Millstatt. It is not on walking distance down to the lake or Millstatt center. So if you want to dine nearby there are no many options. There is however a decent place, just above the hotel, where you can have dinner. But it is possible to close early if there are no guests.
Everything in the hotel looks brand new. Style is modern, but not pretentious. You get a spacious room, with a good bed, nice bathroom, and nice view from the room (better if you opt for the lake side view).
Hotel also owns a free parking.
Our only remark would be poor english of our hosts.
All in all, the hotel is good value for money if you don’t mind to be a little bit uphill.
