Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. Food is great (breakfast, afternoon coffee with cake, dinner buffet), very nice and modern rooms, top facilities, top service and friendliness, short distances indoor swimming pool free, ski hut, centrally located. walking distance to the cross-country trail (even before breakfast)

Far too expensive for what you get. Wellness area not recommended

For this whopping price, it doesn't meet expectations.
The food including breakfast buffet, salad selection and dinner buffet prepared very lovelessly and very little choice. At the breakfast buffet I have already seen small guesthouses with a better selection.
The dinner served was a very small portion and for vegetarians or me as a pregnant woman there was not much choice. You had to regularly find a waiter to remember that something was off at the buffet. The waiters downstairs were very hard at work, at the reception you were always greeted with an annoyed snort when you had a question.
The wellness area is very outdated almost a little gruesome, the loungers in the “relaxation room” all made of plastic and old-fashioned, the wellness area much too small for this large hotel (and at least also public access) with only 2 saunas to choose from.
The rooms were very small but tiptop and very pretty.
The one big plus is the maximum location to the ski area which I did not use but because it was a business trip.
Conclusion: I would have been very satisfied with the whole than 3 star hotel And by 100-150€ less the night, the price makes the experience very disappointing.

Cross-country skiing holidays

Perfect location right at the cross-country stadium, belies a little over the deficits. Small room north (as indicated) and bathroom without shelves. Balcony for three rooms allows privacy only with curtain closed. Room cleaning, towel and bedding change was done only once for a four-day stay.
Absolute bang, wg. a bad stomach my wife had to forgo the dinner in the evening. In order to be able to enjoy the gastric tea brought by yourself, 1.80 € was charged for the required hot water (mug). Cost of booking Sunday to Monday 198,- €

Great winter holiday

Very pleasant hotel with very friendly service staff and excellent cuisine. Ideally located in the centre of Ramsau and right next to the Nordic centre nestled in a beautiful winter landscape.
Ideally connected to the Dachstein wellness and swimming pool.

Fantastic house with great location

The house is familiar and at the same time very professionally run. The staff is attentive to the wishes of the guests. Since the renovation in spring 23, the rooms are even nicer and cozier. The bath, sauna, cross-country ski trails and the town centre can be reached within a maximum of 3 minutes on foot, with direct access to the bath. Those planning a holiday in Winter Wonderland should choose Haus Matschner.
