Pažljivo obnovljeni Altstadthotel Kasererbräu, izgrađen 1342. godine, u obiteljskom je vlasništvu već nekoliko generacija, a nalazi se u srcu Salzburga, u povijesnoj pješačkoj zoni grada, u podnožju tvrđave Hohensalzburg.

One night stay. Lovely hotel which is in a good area to explore the beautiful city.
Could have done with aircon in the room but had giant fan which is the trick.

This hotel was not worth the money. It was not clean and extremely noisy. The towels were shabby. The room was hot and the portable air conditioning couldn’t cool the space and was extremely noisy. There are better hotels in old town. I would not book here again

Awesome hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A historic cinema still operates in the basement and first floors, and our son loved the popcorn machine outside the theater. Our room (superior double) was nice and large with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for 2 adults and a child. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in providing directions, making reservations, etc. Our son loved his cute present for reading the Leo book provided at check-in. A grocery store and numerous restaurants are just steps away. The funicular is about a 10-minute walk, as are most parts of the old town, and the new town is also about a 10-minute walk across the Mozart Bridge. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Salzburg!

We had a great stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice. The only minor drawback was that it was very hot and it felt like the portable AC in the room didn’t quite cope with the size of the room. Good location in the old town of Salzburg.
Can defiantly recommend this hotel.

Neglected hotel

We are truly astonished how this hotel can even carry a 4-star classification. We have never experienced such a dirty, neglected, and rundown hotel.
Even upon entering the hotel, the dirt in the entrance area was immediately noticeable. Unfortunately, this impression continued throughout the entire property. Everywhere appeared unkempt, as if the cleaning was only done very superficially. The staff at the reception was friendly, but also did not make a well-groomed impression.
The room and the bathroom seem to have been renovated, but only at first glance. In the bathroom, there were already clear signs of mold, and in the room, it was evident that the walls had merely been repainted instead of properly addressing existing deficiencies.
However, the biggest shock was the wellness area. In the shower area, there was green mold – absolutely unacceptable for us. For hygienic reasons, we immediately left the wellness area and did not use it at all.
The breakfast room also fit the overall picture: a heavily worn carpet, very old and partially poorly repaired furniture, and overall a rather uninviting atmosphere. The breakfast itself was disappointing. The selection, quality, and freshness did not meet the level one would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Our impression is that there has been little investment in cleanliness, maintenance, or quality here for a long time. For the price charged, this hotel is a great disappointment. We cannot recommend this hotel at all and would definitely not return.
