Great base for a family holiday to Salzburg

The Cocktail bar was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful, also able to recommend a local pizza restaurant. It is great value and only a short tram ride from the centre.

Beautiful, traditional hotel in Salzburg

Beautiful, traditional hotel in Salzburg, overlooking mountains and stream.
Easy access by public transport from airport. Also handy for public transport connections to old town and railway station, for onward trips to Austrian ski destinations and international travel to Germany and beyond.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well laid out. Breakfast was also adequate. We loved the Mozart breakfast room! Plus a bar was on site. Staff were also pleasant and friendly there too.
A particularly welcomed addition was the kids’ outdoor area. Situated beneath the mountain, was a go kart track with free to use ride on vehicles and swing.
In addition were several adult relaxation areas.
Would definitely recommend and return on our next trip.

Not bad

Let's see, the hotel is decent. It is clean, it is nice, and acceptably comfortable. It is far from the center, but that is solved with the bus stop right at the door and they give you a transport card, valid during your stay, that is a great touch. It is not very quiet, because although it is nestled at the foot of a mountain, the front part faces a road, hence the bus, with quite a lot of traffic day and night, plus you can hear everything that happens in the surrounding rooms. They have a main building and a villa, next door, they are two very typical and very cute little houses. There is a cocktail bar that is not bad for spending a little while having a drink. Regarding breakfast, I cannot give an opinion, because we did not have it. Oh, and everyone who works there is wonderful. Attentive, kind, ideal...

Well if you're gonna be nice

Worn, dirty and we booked with breakfast but would then pay for it again.
The parking was ok & even if you live in an industrial area equivalent, it is quick and easy to get down town.

At least it is near the bus stop for a quick getaway!

This hotel was frankly awful.
We had a room in the “atrium”. Which is separate from the main building. The interior doesn’t exactly look like the images published. Imagine the picture , then was all the colour out. It is drab, dreary and sucks the life from you. Doors are unpainted and there are holes in the wall from things once attached but now gone
We had a 3 night booking , paid in full, but I took the hit to get out. The bus stop outside helped my departure
The breakfast was decent, so one star.
I appreciate that some hotels are old but this one hasn’t seen a new lightbulb or paint brush in years
