Fire the management
This hotel is a textbook example of how bad and terrible guest treatment can be and as a consequence ruins the overall impression thanks to the single person : so-called manager Christian Brauchart.
If you have booked half board , in the hotel restaurant you will be treated as third class guests compared to a la cart guests. A few decades ago I served my military service where I was treated better and more politely and respectfully by my sergeant than by the person mentioned above. Dinner for half board is at the level of a military canteen and if you dare to complain to Brauchart expect an arrogant, rude, uncultured and insulting reaction; shameful. His right hand Carmen Brauchart is in the same direction of treating guests. The rest of the staff is OK ,while the waiter Srdjan stands out as a bright spot and tries to save the miserable impression left by the above mentioned.
It should be noted that it is very unusual that a hotel/restaurant of this level does not have a salad buffet. The rest of the hotel is OK but it is unacceptable that for 200+ EUR per person per day you do not have a bathrobe and slippers in the room but have to pay for them additionally at the reception. It is also unacceptable that for that price of a double room (400+ EUR) the same is cleaned and towels are changed every 3 or 4 days. We will not return to this hotel again and when Brauchart is fired we will reconsider our decision.

Arrogant and expensive: An unpleasant experience
Even the reception at the reception unfortunately left a very negative first impression. A friendly greeting was not received, instead one felt rather unwanted. A successful start to your holiday looks different. Interesting to read here that other guests felt the same way. Breakfast was a disaster and by 9am the buffet was largely empty without time. The surrounding staff preferred to look at their phones instead of looking after the guests. A bathrobe costs 5 euros. This is also very cheeky with the expensive room rates. Even the appearance of a gentleman, who is present at the bar with several photos, seemed extremely arrogant and unservice-oriented to us. The Turracher Höhe itself is a wonderful place (only one supermarket is missing). It is all the more regrettable that this hotel does not do justice to the special ambience of the area in any way.

Fabulous food and service, you need to go!!!
Stopped on the way to Klagenfurt Airport. Had the most amazing meal, delicious, beautiful presented and the staff were excellent. Highly recommend to visit. We had a table overlooking the lake , wonderful

A terrible experience for us--certainly never again!
My family and I were here for the first time last year. The place was an absolute dream and we decided that we would like to come back.
This year the disillusionment for us: The hotel has degraded so much in our eyes!! Especially with the people who work here. We had the comparison to last year: disastrous for us!
The friendliness of the employees is gone in our perception. Here the staff is king and not the guest was our impression.
Bathrobes (last year still included) now cost 5 euros per piece - ours were dingy and worn. The head of the Food and Beverages division was very, very unfriendly when asked about a special request- inappropriate for a house of this price range (probably because I had just disturbed him while watching TV behind the bar). When I asked why my wish was possible last year and this year I didn't get a rude and disrespectful "We are already an apartment hotel- you know that, right??" barked at me. As I said: as a guest we felt directly at the mercy of the rude and service-unoriented staff.
Since we are three people, I had asked if we could get a third room card like last year. This was also no longer possible this year.
When asked if we were allowed to borrow a salt shaker when ordering food in rooms, we were informed that these were new rules and that this was no longer possible. When I asked if you could at least add salt to a bowl, we were even more unkindly instructed that this could not be done.
When I then said that in this case my tip was now cancelled with 0 euros, I was jeered at by a waitress: “They’re just looking for a fight!”....
In general, the restaurant area leaves much to be desired in our eyes. We ate there once. The service was down from above and the food for this price category was not good. We certainly did not like it and we did not dine again in the restaurant during the holiday.
The sauna area is small in our eyes and the showers were constantly occupied.
Originally, me and my husband wanted to use massages and cosmetic treatments this holiday. After everything here was so unwelcomely hot, we left it alone.
Overall, we also saved ourselves money because, instead of every other Going out for dinner at the restaurant only once were (and otherwise cooked in the room) and by feeling uncomfortable in the hotel did not spend a single evening at the bar (which was very nice last year- this year for us a fright: Drinking cocktails while surrounded by all the people who are unfriendly to us.)
Last we had to vacate the room at 10am sharp on the day of departure. So far okay -Since we still wanted to ski was the question if a later change and shower in the wellness area (as possible last year). We have also been banned from doing so.
Overall, we experienced a disappointing holiday. We will certainly never take another step into this house - even if we remain true to Turracher Höhe.
We have never experienced such treatment in a house of this price category, either at home or abroad.
I and my family would like to be pampered on holiday and not treated and served with condescension, arrogance and unkindness.

PS: Positive for us in this hotel were only the male doorman, who was almost always there and really always had an open ear (for us a full professional in the tourism business!!!) and was striving and the ladies of the cleaning crew. The latter were always friendly and in a good mood. A ray of light in this inn so terrible for us.
