Short but perfect stay!
We have only stayed here for 1 night, because another apartment we've booked for the other 2 nights in Vorderlanersbach wasn't available for that night.
So it was a short but perfect stay! The triple room was very nice, clean, enough space and a nice bathroom with super shower!
Breakfast was delicious!
If we are looking for a hotel in the future in Lanersbach, we will stay here for sure.

High quality sleep: perfect sound insulation
We spent a few days here for my son to ski on the glacier in Summer and to go for some nice walks. The rooms are amazingly sound proof: the hotel is near the main road and a noisy river but once you have closed the windows you cannot hear a thing: we slept very well. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Christmas Break
My partner and I have just arrived home after spending a week over Christmas here.
One word that sums up this hotel is beautiful. The location, the hotel and rooms, the service, the staff and food. I could not fault a single thing.
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the nearer ski/snowboard hire shop and bus stop taking you to the three ski resorts. The bus pass is included with your stay. The hotel also has storage rooms for your boots and skis as well as a steam room to relax at the end of the day.
Breakfast is a buffet with many options and dinner is four courses every night including salad bar. Evening drinks are not included but reasonably priced.
On Christmas Eve we were surprised with a six course meal including traditional homemade biscuits and Christmas wishes from the owners themselves. Although every night had the personal touch.
Lanersbach seems a fairly quiet village but a few bars and restaurants at walking distant. The sports bus can also take you to more lively places if you wish.
We will definitely be visiting again!

As good as usual
We accompany a ski club to Hintertux for October glacier training. We are experienced travellers to Hintertux, and Lanersbach in particular. We now always go to the Burgschrofn. Herrman and his team offer a great welcome. Rooms are very good. Food always top quality. The addition of the lift and the new entrance (2-3 years) have improved it enormously. The hotel combines a family hotel atmosphere with high standards. We are not looking to go anywhere else in the valley. Great value for money.

Just lovely- cannot fault it!
We spent a week at the Hotel Burgschrofn, having found it at a very reasonably price through an online search. From the moment we arrived (after a VERY long drive) we felt wonderfully welcome and very much at home.
The hotel is run by a family and only has around 20 rooms but there is nothing small-scale about the service and facilities. The lobby is very nicely decorated in a modern alpine style. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel, with a view towards the river crashing down from the mountains.
We ate at the hotel each evening (we had a half-board package) and were very impressed with the quality of the choices. Each day there was a menu presented to us at breakfast for us to chose our evening meal from (veggie/meat option). Each evening was a four course dinner, with a great salad selection, delicious soup (a different one each day), the main course (all of which were great- delicious, and mostly Austrian dishes - too many to list!) and then a dessert. The portion sizes were great and all the food was home cooked and local, some from the family's farm.
Breakfast itself was also wonderful- a great choice of cereals, fruit, meats, cheeses, bread.... everything you could want from an Austrian breakfast selection in ample quantity.
We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Burgschrofn, and hope to return there for our snowboarding holiday this winter.
