Surprisingly nice

Not bad actually!!! Stayed here for 4 nights and it is a pleasant place. I was first checked into a room with no natural light and they were able to move to one which had and faced the side road. The room was clean and spacious with an electric kettle and the usual. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. The mattress was bad - you could feel the metal springs which made it a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was a large spread with a mix of things as they have non-local guests staying there. I used the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was really nice. Good food but did take just the local items. Not bad and no major complaints.

Castle Salam is one of the top hotels in Khulna, offering a newly renovated section that stands out for its quality. The rooms feature large, comfortable beds, although they lack windows or views, and the corridors could benefit from better lighting. The food and dining experience are exceptional, with delicious options like chuijhal mutton, fresh fish, and shrimp. The rooftop dining is a highlight, providing a great ambiance, though the service there can be a bit slow. Overall, considering the available options in Khulna, Castle Salam remains my top choice.

The standard (renovated) room is excellent. There is air conditioning, a fan, free bottle of mineral water, clean towels and shampoo and soap.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and very extensive.
The top-roof pool with infinity view over Khulna is beautiful. However, the reception indicates that with a standard room you do not have access to the pool, while this is indicated with the facilities when booking on TRIP.com. This is very disappointing, because the pool was one of the reasons to choose Hotel Castle Salam. By the way, the pool is not heated and too cold to swim in in the winter.
The 2 different elevators, one of which does not go to all floors (including the rooftop pool on the 9th floor), is very confusing.
The staff is very friendly.

I'll not recommend any working lady to stay in this hotel.

Booked a single room for business trip. But unfortunately the staffs are so untrained and ill behaved, they never seen any business women. They are not trained how to talk to a lady who can afford a 5 star accommodation on her own. I'll not recommend any working lady to opt for this hotel. Outside look doesn't tell everything. Better to choose a stay of your standard. They don't see a single lady in a respectable way.

This might be good one

I stayed one night and this time I have choosen this hotel instead of citi inn as my local friend refer this hotel. I have experience of 40 countries hotel night stay. This hotel Wi-Fi and cable TV are extremely in poor quality
