Travelling to the Ardennes, here you have to be!

We just got home from a great weekend Ardennes, in Poupehan.
Blessed to stay here.
Parking free at the hotel.
Great food and service.
Cozy bar. Everything you can imagine of a holiday in the Ardennes, fireplace, cozy bar, Christmas atmosphere, lights, Christmas music, fireplace in the restaurant.
And this was the trump card for us, there is a restaurant (with a clean beautiful kitchen, this is incorporated into the restaurant which makes the experience just a little more beautiful), if you walk past the kitchen (which is neatly behind glass). Come to the play corner!
And that's just what we needed, the kids to play, all of us cozy in the restaurant, in front of the fireplace, with the Christmas lights.
A real experience.
The food, wow. Benoit is a very good cook! And be sure, Burgundian or not, you can never get everything here, big plates, well stocked, delicious! Every last detail.
Marianne, is a great hostess. She's sweet.
She puts her heart into the business.
We can only praise him!
The rooms were spacious, clean, tidy,.. you have everything you need there. Towels, cot, bunk bed, TV, shower, extra pillows, thick blankets,..
There is sauna possible, jacuzzi, billiards,...
It is a very beautiful region.
We are praising and very happy that we could stay at this place!

Could be better...

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The room, still 144 euros, was small but very neat and clean. I didn't find a hairdryer. One sleeps peacefully, right next to the bridge over the Semois.
There is no welcome whatsoever. After a few minutes of waiting, a black boy came walking... someone would come... We drank a beer on the terrace.
We ate there too. Mediocre, and once again, served without a single word of explanation. The napkins were also missing. However, an open kitchen...what could you not make of that..!
Auberge Le vieux moulin could be better. The room of the restaurant could be decorated more attractively, some spontaneity from the embarrassing or boss, I don't know, would make up for a lot.

Great welcome. The staff is great, attentive. The cook made us very good dishes when we were a large group. Really delicious! They are very professional and well organized. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Good food, clean room, dogs friendly hotel

Last week we went to this nice family hotel with 16 rooms. They received us very well: the owner is cooking and his flemish wife and his daughter serve the food and clean the rooms. Also our medium sized dog was very welcome: they reserved us a table in the corner to be at ease. We had a renovated room with rain shower, basic but clean. Breakfast was served at the table, but if we wanted more bread, we just had to ask (although it was enough and we never ordered more), yoghurt and fruit can be taken from a mini-refrigerator. Diners was great, classic dishes with great taste (4 courses). At noon you can eat a snack or there is also full board (3 courses for lunch). Outside there is a swimming pool, but we didn't use it because of the dog. From the village you can make big walks our go to surrounding villages or to the city of Bouillon. Very recommended hotel!

En transit dans la région avant d'aller à Chassepierre.

Chouette hôtel, fraîchement rénové.
Chouette équipe, bien sympathique.
Jolie chambre.
Petit déjeuner très complet.
Un bar et terrasse sympa.
Piscine.
Je recommande vivement pour un court séjour.
