Glamping in a tent – a great family experience
We had a wonderful stay at this holiday resort. There are many different tent types – we had one of the larger tents with a private bathroom, which was very comfortable.
The entire facility is very well-maintained and ideal for families with children. Especially the heated pool invites you to cool off and relax on warm days.
The location is also excellent: The beautiful old town of Durbuy is easily reachable on foot. In addition, great leisure opportunities like Adventure Valley are in the immediate vicinity.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back!

An open-air drinking binge. Young Dutch and Flemish people yelling and drinking from morning till night.
It is 12:50 AM and people are yelling everywhere around the tents. Everyone plays their own music

No animation as promised. And this in the Easter holidays.

Het spijt ons oprecht dat u tijdens deze vakantie niet de juiste informatie heeft ontvangen over de animaties.
Tijdens deze paasvakantie was er nochtans een gevarieerd programma voorzien met verschillende familie-activiteiten zoals paaseieren zoeken, zumba, knutselworkshops voor kinderen, activiteiten rond bijenwas, kindervoetbal, kampvuren en nog andere activiteiten, afhankelijk van de dag.
Ook het verwarmde zwembad was toegankelijk en voorzien van speelmogelijkheden voor kinderen, en in de directe omgeving waren er bovendien tal van wandelmogelijkheden.
Wij betreuren het zeer dat deze informatie u niet correct heeft bereikt tijdens uw verblijf en begrijpen uw teleurstelling volledig. Uw feedback wordt intern gedeeld zodat we onze communicatie aan de receptie verder kunnen verbeteren.

Expensive, cold and bad experience
The heating in the miracle tent did not work, on top of that the electricity went out in the night and the emergency number listed at the reception did not work. It was 10 degrees outside and humid: we tried to sleep with our thick pullover and long pants (a lot of sleep did not go into that freezing and humid tent). In the morning I thought I would take a warm shower: but this didn’t work. Either it was freezing or hot water.
Lots of money for nothing: you better go on hotel! I reported everything to reception afterwards and put it on mail. They excuse them and report that it has been resolved in the meantime. Fat rip-off!

No glamping experience
The location of The Greenfields Glamping in Durbuy is undoubtedly an asset: an idyllic place surrounded by nature and tranquility. Unfortunately, that beautiful setting was overshadowed by a series of disappointing experiences.
Already on arrival the reception was a first setback. She is in a simple container, which in itself should not be a problem, but the whole thing looked uninviting. Moreover, the roof was too small to shelter the many guests from the rain, and the reception staff did not appear to be bilingual — which is a missed opportunity in a tourist region like Durbuy.
Upon entering our tent it was immediately noticeable that the used linen had not yet been collected. That was solved later, but it did not give a well-groomed impression. The basic facilities were also not in order: the coffee machine was not replenished and the soap dispensers contained neither soap nor shampoo. Small details, but they do determine the Feeling of Welcoming.
In addition, there was no hot water in the tent, which significantly reduced comfort. Around 11 o’clock in the evening we experienced a power cut. The emergency light turned on and woke us up, and to make matters worse, we couldn't get the fire to work afterwards. As a result, the temperature in the tent dropped to about 12 degrees — downright unpleasant in a glamping that promises just comfort.
The next morning I reported these problems to the reception, but they did not take note and did not seem to follow up. I found that lack of commitment particularly disappointing.
In short: the location is really beautiful, but the management and services are not at the same level at the moment. With more attention to detail, better maintenance and a more professional welcome, The Greenfields Glamping would grow into a place worthy of its name. For now, however, it remains a beautiful environment with many missed opportunities.
