Hotel crado number 1 . I am sure I will win the contest just with the pictures taken!

The cradoest hotel in my life! We went in and out directly and he wouldn’t refund both rooms! Total fraud. Stink of cigarettes, shower full of waste, bath sheets and dirty bedding, tissues on the floor and under the bed and so on!!! If you want the pictures I send them without hesitation. To flee absolutely!

Hallucinating experience

I didn't realize I was in the fourth world..
It happened by chance, the only hotel with rooms available... then I realized why! Calling it hovel is perhaps a compliment .... Tiny room , no more than 6 meters , bed against a wall , only window in the bathroom for which light comes from the bathroom , used toilet paper and half roll , a single plug to charge mobile phone present between bathroom and " bedroom " . People who circulated in the corridors and outside looking very unreassuring. The outside is a desert in the middle of mud , it had rained . The guy at the reception very nice, but the rest is a sleaze that I do not understand how it can be advertised ... the price of 75 euros ....
I forgot ... a gang of shady “taxi drivers” rob you demanding 30 euros, cash only, to take you from the airport to this “resort”, 14/15 minute journey ... by car , but doing it on foot is very dangerous .
I never thought I would be in such a horrible place in Europe .... Never again!

Not to be repeated!!! Quite simply

So what to say .... Admittedly the night is among the cheapest.... Nevertheless, if the room was correct and rather clean (no more, no less).
Attempting to spend a night there is one thing ..... But getting there is another, and it is not the nearby airport (aviation noise) that is the cause.... These noise nuisances are specific to the hotel itself worthy of a station hall in peak hour .... It's no more complicated... And very unpleasant!!!
The most pleasant during this visit was the good reception and friendliness of the receptionist as well as the sympathy of the staff at the departure (handing over of the badge)....
But to do again.... No....
I'll invest a little more to favor another establishment.

Clean and functional former F1 hotel

We found this a good spot for a stay over, just over 2 hours out of Calais.Very clean. Staff were friendly and spoke English. There is a grass/ table area outside to sit. Charleroi is good for shopping but not great to explore. Supermarket near by.

Cheap can be ok too.

Often when arriving at a cheap hotel there is problems from the onset.
This ex formula one hotel is tired and cheap but the staff were wonderful.
I woke up expecting to have an easy onward journey to find a trainstrike caused by Trump's visit had ended any hope of an easy journey.
Staff helped me to understand the dynamic and eventually I was able to get going, a very stressful situation made less stressful by helpful staff.
