Unforgettable Belize vacation.
Other than the beach access with the sea grass, this was the Ideal resort. small, personal, and friendly. You don't have to walk a mile to get places. everything is nearby. Visit Emily at the spa! She has healing hands. Pedro helped coordinate some of our days for tailored adventures for our family. On sight security made us feel safe and cared for as they tracked our coming and going. I could mention many more staff that made this stay a positive experience in Belize.

Great property on paper, would not go back in summer.
I want to say - most of the staff is BEYOND great. Amazing bartender, lead server, etc. they do what they can for you to enjoy your stay. I just can not express how underprepared we were for the amount of sargassum on property. It extended out to the end of the pier by the time we left. The smell was so bad it woke us up at night. We could have moved to a room further from the beach, but the mosquitos were also horrific. Not to mention the sargassum bringing doctor flies that tore us up. The geography of this location is a real bummer because it did have so much potential, but without heavy machinery, I have no idea how they will ever remove the hardened rotting seaweed.
I am sure this resort is stunning in the winter (or after a hurricane maybe?). The rooms were beautiful! Just bring a LOT of repellant and if you’re sensitive to smells… maybe don’t come until the wind shifts directions.
Last thing - we from the website assumed there were multiple restaurants on property. There is only one. It’s fine, but gets old after a few days of 3 meals. The closest place to try something else is quite an adventure away.
Good luck, Reef Haven. I hope your employees are okay through this season. Management perhaps should be more communicative of the extent of the issues on property.

Awesome Vacation for adventure and relaxation
Had a fabulous week staying at Reef Haven!! The staff was too notch and did everything thing possible to make our stay memorable! Earl at the Driftwood Bar was so informative about the island and made great suggestions on how to spend our time. He made pretty good drinks too! The restaurant staff was fantastic and made our meals such fun! The food was fabulous!
My only concerns were the mosquitoes that they sprayed the grounds for several times a day. The other concern was the distance from downtown Dan Pedro. If you want to get a way from the busyness of life this is the perfect place to stay!!

Reef Haven Review
My boyfriend and I recently visited, and from start to finish, we truly enjoyed our stay. The entire staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel comfortable throughout our trip.
The resort offers a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for couples or anyone looking to unwind. At the same time, there are opportunities to explore outside the resort, and the staff is more than happy to help arrange excursions and provide recommendations.
Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We also loved the variety of activities available on-site, including mixology classes, ceviche-making classes, painting sessions, and more.
The food was absolutely amazing. There was one main restaurant along with four additional dining options, including two bar restaurants and a grill restaurant, each offering a different style of cuisine. Everything we ate was flavorful and delicious. The kitchen staff was also very accommodating with any additions or changes we requested to our meals.
A special thank you goes to Leo and Jessica from the restaurant team. They made a genuine effort to learn guests' names and always made us feel welcome and valued.
We also want to give a huge shoutout to Edwardo at the bar—he was AMAZING! He was kind, friendly, and truly the perfect bartender. You can tell he loves what he does. By the third day, it felt like we had known him forever. He played a huge role in making our experience so memorable.
Earl was wonderful as well, and all of the staff took the time to get to know us, offer great recommendations for exploring San Pedro, and ensure we had everything we needed.
Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so special
