Do the sunset cruise!
Reception staff quite friendly here compared to other experiences in the area.
Breakfast was nice.
It was good to have our own living space - verandah outside the chalet. Chalet was well sized room with en-suite - quite clean.
You can’t park the truck directly outside the room which is just a bit of a faff.
Swimming pool wasn’t clean so we didn’t use it.
As is common it seems Southern Africa, there were twin beds that could be pushed together - you don’t really want single beds and individual mosquito nets on your honeymoon but that seems to be the norm!
There is a strange smell about the place especially at night like burning rubbish?
There is a potential for noisy guests in neighbouring chalets.
There is a guard at the gate which is helpful as it is reasonably close to town.
Chobe river Boat cruise organised by the lodge was awesome and one of the best things we’ve done. The guide was keen to teach us about the wildlife and area, and even gave us a special bonus on the way home stopping by a hyena den.

Beautiful bungalow rooms, unfortunately insufficiently maintained complex
The complex is located on the edge of Kasane, to the entrance of Chobe National Park and to the boat tours it is very well located. The bungalow cottages overlooking the Chobe River are spacious and clean, but the complex is unfortunately partly very unkempt. Unclean and damaged tables and seating are scattered indiscriminately everywhere, the pool was cleaned only after repeated requests. The construction site right next to the pool doesn't really make it any better. Breakfast and dinner were ok, the staff friendly but not very motivated.

Not worth the money, misleading photos
Campsite is run down. The people running it and looking after the place are not very helpful. Camp Toilet and shower is run down and no toilet paper. The restaurant and bar is non existing and pool area is not being looked after. Not worth the money what you pay and I would not recommend the place or stay here again.

Stay away
What a disappointment!!! If you are camping, stay away. In January 2022 we made reservations for 3 couples (3 caravans) at Big 5 Chobe. Upon arrival, we were horrified to see the state in which the camping sites were. The ablutions were rickety, the ground was covered in wild shrubs & weeds. It was obvious that nothing towards the upkeep was done to the campsites. We turned around & went to Senyati.

Far away from anything and costly for what you get
I will start with the positives - the chalets are just as you see in the pictures, possibly nicer. The reception area looks nice and the aircon works well. There is a kettle and miniatures. The cleaning staff were very friendly and the general grounds staff too. This is good.
I have to preface this by saying we went in low season and, at one point, were the only guests there so it may not have been business as usual.
Firstly, the receptionists seemed very detached and indifferent. The kitchen staff were also a little spaced out. The food was really not good at all but this may be because it was low season. The worst thing for me was that on the map it looks like this is close to restaurants (Nandos etc.) It is not. There is no restaurant nearby so you are forced to eat at the hotel. A taxi costs 3 dollars each way (to town.) There is a supermarket in a weird shopping centre called the Duncan Plaza about a 12 minute, not so pleasant, walk away. I found the supermarket expensive. Also, hotels and lodges here are super expensive. We paid 111 Dollars per night for this and price/quality ratio was so off. If I had paid, say 70 Dollars I would maybe have had lower expectations. Chobe is nice but Kasane itself is nothing to write home about. If I were to do this again I would have done 1 night, 2 at maximum.
