Cozy cabins

Very cozy atmosphere with small cabins scattered through the hostels garden. Good breakfast selection. Very helpfull and knowledgeable staff in the front desk. Unfortunatly every evening of our stay from 6pm to about 10pm the power went out. This was however not the hostels fault, more so that the island was very crowded.

Exquisite breakfast

Excellent service and incredible breakfast. Quiet and beautiful place, I felt at home. It is worth walking a little but having this special space.

Very nice place on Ilha Grande!

What I liked most about this place were the people who worked there. I was received very kindly by the daughter of the parents who started the company. The breakfast also looks well taken care of. My place to sleep, I slept in a chalet, was also nice. The water in the shower was wonderfully warm. Price-quality also good. Highly recommended if you are looking for an affordable, nice place.

Perfect

If I could give this place 11/10 I would! Possibly the most beautiful hostel in Ilha Grande, up the hill, with wooden chalets in a leafy jungle garden. Warm family atmosphere, delicious breakfast buffet including fruit, eggs and homemade cake served on lovely tableware. Dorms and rooms are spacious and serviced every day. A great place to chill out during the day if you want to stay home - big shady verandah with hammocks, and also a great place to get to know other travellers. Common kitchen is the cleanest I've seen in any hostel. I ended up staying a week, as it was so hard to leave.
One thing to watch out for - Google Maps sends you in the wrong direction up to the hostel, so it's best to follow signs and ask passers by which way to go.

Paradise-Like Jungle Hotel

I was able to spend there about a week in FEB 2019 and I'm very happy for the opportunity. Hostel is next to jungle and it is very easy to go for morning walks deep into the jungle and explore Ilha Grande island.
The hostel is VERY clean, staff is helpful 24/7, and the nature is unforgettable.
If you are looking for privacy and near nature place to live, then I would recommend Holandes Hostel. You will not regret :)
