Disappointment with the beach annex

I frequent the Arete for years, and I am always very well received by everyone at the hotel, with extreme attention, sympathy and cordiality. The Arete is my refuge, whenever I need to escape from the stress of Carioca.
One of the main reasons that lead me there, is to be able to spend the days in the annexes, without even stepping foot in the city.
Unfortunately on my last stay, I was disappointed with the beach annex. When I arrived, I occupied a tent that was unoccupied, and without any notice of reservation; there was no employee to guide.
After installed, an employee arrived, a little exalted, saying that we could not stay there, because that lounge was reserved. I said I didn't have a reserve board, and nobody had warned anything, as it usually happens, every time I've been there before. But he just repeated that I had to clear the place.
I picked up my things, and as another tent wandered on the other side, I asked that same employee if I could stay there; he said there would be no problem.
After installing me, another employee came, I believe that manager, saying that I couldn't stay, because there was a queue.
It is embarrassing to go through such a situation. As I said, for years I frequent the Arete, mainly for the option of annexes, offered by the hotel itself.
I wonder if now I will have to find other places to stay...

Breakfast was very limited if you remove the abundance of sugary cakes on offer. (You have to pay for coffee too…. ) The bedding was dirty blood and urine stains… we got bitten alive by mosquitoes and in general the place had no vibe. On the positive side the pool area is lovely including the sauna and the food / drinks at lunchtime were always nice. Food and drink are circa twice the price of Rio prices.

Very good team!

My stay was simply impeccable! The hotel offers a luxurious structure, with elegant, comfortable environments and very well cared for. The staff service was exceptional — everyone was extremely attentive, polite and always ready to help.
The breakfast is wonderful, with great variety and everything very fresh. The leisure areas are complete and ideal for relaxing.
Speaking now of the human material care, that wonderful staff, thanks to Thiago from the reception for the tips on what rolls in the city, a super compliment to India who works in the pool area (where you spend most of the time, an incredible service with a wonderful chat, not only the excellent service as a thanks for all the care with the guests,. I wish the whole team great success!
Without a doubt, a wonderful experience in all respects. I highly recommend.
