Comfort and coziness

Traditional hotel, mountain architecture, charming, comfortable apartment, clean, friendly and attentive staff, delicious and rich breakfast. We always come back with friends and recommend. Fondue delicious, in a super charming environment.

When the lack of sensitivity outweighs the quality of the hotel

The Hotel Toriba has always occupied a special place for me and for my husband. Amidst our intense routine of work, we choose the hotel several times to rest, precisely for the proximity, tranquility and the experience that we always believe to find. In addition, it was a place we indicated with satisfaction.
Unfortunately, our last experience completely changed that perception.
I requested a reservation for July 21 and 22. The information was interpreted as a stay from 21 to 22, that is, only one daily.
In the day-to-day run, I gave only the dates and the value of the voucher. The value, approximately R$5,000,00, was very similar to what we used to pay for two nights, so I did not imagine that the reservation had been issued for just one night. I made the payment believing everything was correct.
When we were informed of the misconception, we were already accommodated and close to the check-out time of the only reserved daily. At that time, we expected understanding and willingness to find a solution. After all, who travels hours to Campos do Jordão to stay in the hotel for just a few hours? It would be enough to analyze our hosting history to realize that this was never our intention.
Instead, the only alternative presented was to pay approximately R$4,000.00 extra to stay one more night.
What disappointed me most was not the value. It was the lack of sensitivity to a situation that was clearly born from a failure of communication. The hotel had the opportunity to preserve a relationship built over the years, but chose to treat the situation only as a contractual matter.
As an entrepreneur, I learned that loyal customers are a heritage. Really memorable companies are not those that never face problems, but those that know how to turn a problem into an opportunity to strengthen the trust of those who always chose them.
I sincerely hope that this assessment will be received as an opportunity for reflection. Processes can fail, and that happens. What makes a company different is how it decides to take care of people when it happens.
Unfortunately, you didn't just miss a reservation. They lost guests who admired Toriba, returned whenever they could and recommended it with conviction.

Simply sensational. The refinement, the luxury, the place, was like a beautiful dream. All selected with the best quality, various options both gastronomic and entertainment. Made so that we don't even want to leave the hotel.

Everything impeccable and perfect

I have known this hotel for over 30 years and always felt very well there, because everything is thought to make guests feel comfortable and at peace. Over time the hotel was gaining new spaces, new chalets, restaurants, attractive, but kept the quality and the service impeccable and perfect. On the weekends there are also numerous erudite music in the piano room. This room is somewhat wonderful, with its walls with Fulvio Pennacchi frescoes. By the way, the hotel is all full of works of art, which makes the visit highly cultural as well as delicious. The spa is wonderful too. If possible, I'd give one more star!
