Incredible place for those who love history and nature

The Sanctuary is an amazing place is part of the history of Brazil. A real journey in time. The access to get to the Sanctuary is quiet without land roads. The accommodations are simple and comfortable. The meals are full and very tasty. A visit to the Dento Museum of the Ruins of the College (which remained after the fire) is indispensable. The reserve has several trails from easy walks to longer and more difficult trails. The time of the wolf is the high point of the Caraça but remembering that the wolves do not come every night and has no schedule. The tray is placed in the church fire at 19:30 all remain silent and await the illustrious visit. We had the privilege on the second night of seeing the Zico (adult wolf) who came at 23:30. An amazing experience the kids loved!!!!!

Sanctuary of Canastra, a place of peace!

Santuario do Caraça, located between the municipalities of Catas Altas and Santa Bárbara in Minas Gerais, area of approximately 12,000 hectares of reserve, 120 km from BH.
It houses great diversity of fauna and flora.
Historical, environmental and cultural heritage with 250 years, erected by Brother Lourenço.
Entrance to the park is paid.
There's a lot to do there.
Tip: watch the video about the history and attractions there.
For more details about the sanctuary and how to make your reservation, I suggest to make prior contact with the administration.
The caraça has a snack bar and a shop where you can find souvenirs, gifts, souvenirs, postcards and books. There is also a restaurant with lunch at around $90.00 per Cover, or a marmitex option (trapeiro or paella mineira, price more in account, $32.00 in the snack bar). Beer of various brands and crafts as well.
We also visit the cachaçaria there (just walk a few minutes, enjoying the natural Mood and the lush landscape of the place).
One day you just can't get to know everything that's in the sanctuary.
I went with a group of photographers, which I am part of, we chose to know the waterfall, it is made through trail (2057 km) - walking time 1 hour - medium level.
We also know the beach - (2051 km) - walking time 30 minutes - light level.
It's worth every minute of a visit.

Beautiful place. Wonderful Ecological Park. Guest house with all inclusive system.

Fantastic ecological park. Exuberant nature. Buildings dating from the 17th century very well preserved. Annex there is the Pousada, with daily All inclusive. Appointments remind old mansions. An unforgettable walk.

Wonderful place to see the lush nature.

Excellent place, especially the Library.Valuable place to connect with nature and discover new things from our history. Incredible trails and challenging experience to see the wolves-guara comes here. Unique place, well preserved. An excellent indication for family.
