Great choice for a stay in the area of Pedra Azul

Very comfortable guest house - room with good size, adequate air conditioning, bathroom "OK' -, with good breakfast and attentive and caring owners. There is a very good restaurant in front of the guest house which becomes very convenient in case you do not want to go out with the car at night. In addition, the guesthouse is 1.5 km from the Lagarto Rota.

Great surprise!

I just loved this guesthouse! It combines a place surrounded by nature (we were awakened by birds and the singing of serema), with clean and cozy wooden chalets.
The breakfast is surreal of good! Handmade products made in the own guesthouse by dear Dona Lucia.
All very fresh, tasty and unique: Antepastes, guacamole, homemade strawberry cakes, roasted bread, raspberry, peanut butter. Surreal of good!
It is only 2 km from the lagarto route. Very strategic place.
The internet worked very well during our stay.
The community where you live looks like a scenic city. There are two restaurants in front that serve delicious meals!
Anyway, we'll go back, we'll go back and we'll go back!
If you are looking for accommodation in Pedra Azul, go! You won't regret it!

Best experience

One of the best experiences we've ever had because the service we received was extremely welcoming! You know when you feel unique, as if the place was eagerly awaiting your visit!!! That's how we felt. Welcomed with affection and a smile on everyone's face at the inn, especially the girls at breakfast, which was a show in itself! Delicious and varied food, the biggest and best breakfast we've ever tried, there was everything from jams, breads, fruit to quiche and antipasto on the table. Everything homemade very complete. We noticed the care taken in the preparation and were welcomed with a big “welcome” upon entering the breakfast space, tell me where do you see this?
The inn is a lovely, peaceful place, you can hear the sounds of birds and nature. Congratulations to the owners, big hug to Elizeu and everyone!!! We'll be back soon.

Pousada Aracê - excellent option close to the Pedra Azul State Park entrance with own bus stop

Only 1 km from the entrance to the Pedra Azul State Park entrance at km 87 of BR 262 (right at the bus stop), this friendly familly run business offers attractive log cabins and a warm and friendly welcome. Carol speaks excellent english and is very helpful.

Cozy place and excellent value for money

If you´re looking for a calm getaway in the mountains of Domingos Martins, I think this is the right choice. The pousada comprises small wood chalets sorrounding a small lake. There is also a small swimming pool and a place for barbecue. It´s small, simple, homely and very clean. Breakfast is good, with homemade cakes and cookies. You will need to drive out for meals (Peterle restaurant is a short 1km drive; also you can have a nice dinner at Pousada dos Pinhos, in Pedra Azul, or drive 15-10km to Venda Nova, where you´ll find other options. If this is the case, try Churrascaria do Trevo, which serves delicious pizzas). During the week there are not many guests in the pousada and the prices are good (R$ 130,00 when I was there in July 2012). There are same fancy hotels in the region, like Aroso Paço, Pousada dos Pinhos or Eco da Floresta (prices can be a little high). If you have kids, maybe you should try one of those, as they have more leisure options. But, as I said, if you just need a beautiful and relaxing place, for a good price, this is an excellent choice.
