Simply, homely and perfect

Spotlessly clean, excellent shower, reasonable wifi, fantastic breakfast and amazingly welcoming and friendly service. Wonderful location within walking distance of many restaurants, but within reach of the stunning Chapada Diamantina NP.
Excellent value if you accept fan only, although I do think the air con price was way over the top and I wasn't prepared to pay for that. Limited Portuguese TV channels - but then you don't come here to watch TV!
Perfect base for the Lencois area, and I would definitely recommend. Not English speaking though, so make sure you brush up on your basic Portuguese!

Good value (quality/price)

I spent 4 nights at the Safira Pousada. Everything was good. The only negative point is the fact that my room had not window. But when you are in a place like Lencois inthe nice park you are not very often in the room except for lleping. Location was good, The breakfast very nice and good. Staffs nice too.

Home away from home

It may not be a five-star hotel, but staff's kindness definitely makes it worth it. Dona Eulina (owner) is specially helpful and will do everything possible to make you comfortable, treating all guests like her second family. Reasonably priced and very good location (about 2 min walk from town centre). Had a great experience here, and would come back anytime.

Home away from home

Unfortunately we only stayed for two nights in this Pousada but our overall satisfaction was 100%: the rooms and all the pousada are very basic and simple, don't expect luxury and hipster decorations but you'll get 5 star treatment and feel at home. The owner and the two girls that also work there are extremely helpful and nice and they give precious advice about Lençois and the Chapada Diamantina. The village itself is a dream, you feel like you are in a "novela" scenarium and the Chapada is breathtaking. We caught the "Festa do Senhor dos Passos" and the village was full of people and animation, really nice.
Our room was clean and had a normal size, enough for us, ensuite bathroom, everything clean. There is no A/C, only a ceiling fan that keeps the room bearable from the Brazilian hot weather. Wi-Fi signal is not very good, as well as cell phone service, but you are in a remote area and the surronding give you a unique sensation of peace.
The breakfast is included and it is cooked by the owner and it is delicious and fresh. Take some time to chat with the lovely lady, she has some interesting stories to tell you and you feel the true brazilian hospitality.
They suggested us a small tour company to a one-day visit to Chapada Diamantina (Poço do Diabo, Morro do Pai Inácio, Lapa Doce, Pratinha, Gruta Azul), just in the bottom of the street (Cirtur) - very good service and experience, at a convenient price.
We loved our stay and we left Lençois with some sadness for not having more time explore the area for a few more days. If you want to experience a real brazilian house, welcoming people at delicious food, at an affordable price, you will love Pousada Safira.

Safira defines clean

I don't think you will find a more meticulously clean pousada in Brasil. Dona Eulina's concern for cleanliness extends to the kitchen where you could eat off the floor if she would let you.....she won't. The pousada is conveniently located a short walk uphill from several restaurants and shops.
After a good, sound sleep you will be treated to an ample home-cooked breakfast of which Dona Eulina is justifiably proud. The aroma of breakfast preparation may awake you earlier than anticipated. Life is tough. Get up and eat. You will be glad you did.
