Chlés Tucano
Otimo atendimento, otima acomodação, café da manhã maravilhoso, fácil acesso ao centro, na avenida principal, limpeza excelente, vale a pena a relação custo / benefício. Principalmente porque fica próximo ao centro, e a noite o gostoso é asir a pé

CHALET 2 STARS AND UNSUITABLE
I stayed at Pousada Tucano with my family at the end of May and beginning of June 2024, and we stayed, specifically, in the Azulão chalet. I went on a long holiday and I have a lot of experience in Monte Verde, as I have been visiting the city since 1999 and have had the opportunity to stay in some other places. The experience at Pousada Tucano, regarding the heating of the chalet, left a LOT to be desired. My main warning for anyone thinking about using this accommodation is: DON'T GO and DON'T GO, during a period of low temperatures. The chalet we stayed in, Azulão, is very old and the heating was not designed for cold days, and in Monte Verde, low temperatures are very common at night and in the early hours of the morning.
The Azulão chalet is VERY bad, it was VERY, VERY cold inside. Blankets weren't enough! There's wind through the windows! Does it have a fireplace? Yes, but it wasn't enough to heat the space. As the chalet had a kitchen, I boiled water in every possible container to spread it around the room, but it still wasn't enough. To make matters worse, the shower was electric and the water was lukewarm, so it wasn't even possible to have a hot shower to warm up the body. As a result, we spent the whole day outside, came back in the afternoon, took a quick shower and went out again to avoid the freezing cold of the indoor environment.
Regarding the structure of the chalet:
* Queen bed: OK;
*Cable TV: OK;
* Sofa bed: VERY hard! I had to add a duvet to make some kind of padding so my daughter could sleep;
* Blankets: OK;
* Fireplace: only used to burn wood, did not provide heating to the space;
* Shower: electric, weak and warm;
* Bathroom sink mixers: don't work, super cold water;
* Chalet furniture in general: OK;
* Room service: none! When needing to change the towels or bathroom rug, the guest must go to reception or request via WhatsApp; there is no making of beds; there is no change of bathroom waste; Firewood is only provided upon arrival, other days you must purchase it.
*Chalet kitchen: has a brand new microwave, cutlery, some utensils such as glasses, plates, cups, pans, baking tray. It has a 4-burner stove, but only two worked.
* Cleaning: could be better, as there is a lot of dust accumulated in the upper parts of the interior of the chalet;
* Breakfast: this is what alleviates the suffering of the stay. Very tasty and I have no considerations to make;
* Parking: very tight, but manageable.
* General care: without a doubt, the Azulão chalet, where I stayed with my family, I don't see a solution unless they close it down or carry out URGENT maintenance on autumn/winter days! I really hope that no other guest suffers as we did, which is why I'm leaving my review. Here are some basic and emergency suggestions for those responsible to try to resolve the chalet's problem, if they want to receive guests again without frustration:
1.) Install thermal sheets on the double bed;
2.) Provide upholstery such as a futton for the sofa bed, as it is very hard;
3.) Provide a powerful heater, at least so that the room stays warm;
4.) Install a suitable shower, in order to offer guests a hot bath. There are four points of attention that, in my opinion, are simple solutions to implement and do not require a high investment. Quick solutions to keep the chalet in operation and not generate more frustrations like the ones we had.
In time, I need to record here that Patrícia, who is the housekeeper/receptionist/maintainer and everything else that was given to her as responsibilities, is FANTASTIC. Finally, those responsible improve the structure or let someone more competent manage the place. If it was my first time in Monte Verde, based on this experience, I would NEVER go back.

Experiência ruim
Chegamos no Chalé bem tarde da noite , um casal e uma criança de 12 anos . Nos hospedamos no chalé Pedra Partida , muito ruim , pé direito baixo , todo empoeirado , as janelas são pequenas e entra vento nos quartos . A cozinha tinha poucos utensílios, os talheres sujos e velhos , o microondas estava imundo ! A descarga tinha vazamento. Não havia papel higiênico! Péssima experiência ! Saímos bom-dia seguinte , ainda bem que achamos outro lugar para ficar . Não recomendo

Otima localização, mas precisa de manutenção
Estivemos em Monte Verde em Julho de 2020. No meio da pandemia, o mais famoso distrito de Camamducaia estava funcionando com restrições e os hoteis e pousadas com 40% de capacidade, no maximo. Gostamos muito e nos hospedamos no Chalés Tucano, uma pousada simples, porém acolhedora e com excelente localização. Fomos muito recebidos pela Patricia, Gerente da pousada, que nos deu uma otima atenção. A pousada é boa, tem chalés confortáveis, ficamos no chalé chamado "Casa Grande", construido nos anos 60 e muito confortável. Apesar da localização ser excelente (uns 200m da rua principal do centrinho) a Pousada requer manutenção imediata. No chalé que ficamos havia problemas com fechos das janelas, lampadas queimadas, tomadas sem funcionar, etc. Resumindo: otima localização, mas carece de manutenção e necessita de investimentos por parte da proprietaria da pousada.

Custo x benefício
Bem localizado, aconchegante, lareira ótima, preço acessível pra quem está só de passagem. O senhor que atende não é o mais simpático do mundo e também não era muito claro ao dar informações, mas as instalações do chalé são ótimas.
