Lack of empathy at checkout

A frustrating check-out experience
I stayed at the Hotel Barreira Roxa with my wife. We checked in at 2:00 p.m., according to the schedule provided by the hotel, and I also knew that the official check-out was at 2:00 p.m.
However, I was quite disappointed with the lack of flexibility at the time of departure. Even after staying more than two days at the hotel, there was no tolerance or possibility of extending the check-out for just an hour. In virtually all hotels I have stayed in, in Brazil and abroad, it is common to have a reasonable margin when the guest requests a little extra time, especially for stays of more than one day.
The situation became even more uncomfortable because there was another couple waiting to enter the room, and the impression that got was in a hurry for us to leave the apartment immediately. What bothered me was the difference of treatment: when I arrived earlier at the hotel, there was not the same effort to anticipate my entrance or contact the previous guest to release the room before.
I understand that there are rules and schedules, but I believe that hospitality also involves common sense, cordiality and balance in the care. Unfortunately, at this point, my experience was negative and I would like to leave this record.
