Quiet and welcoming environment

My stay at Hotel Solar das Lajes was simply wonderful!
The hotel is impeccable in every detail: extremely comfortable rooms, excellent infrastructure and a sensational breakfast, of those that make the experience even more special.
The big difference, no doubt, is the personalized and welcoming service. I want to leave a special thanks to the receptionists Vitor and Renato, who were incredible from start to finish — attentive, helpful and always very friendly, making us feel truly welcome.
An impeccable experience in Minas Gerais. We will definitely come back and recommend closed eyes! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Taking the staff that are great the hotel left to wish, because we took a bath with cold water and it was very cold

Hotel with bureaucratic rules and meaningless, check-in only when it turns the last second.

Ugly receptionists, rules without feeling (e.g.: leave the key to the room at the reception whenever you leave the hotel - ????; if you dirty makeup bedding, you have to pay a fine), breakfast with cold food, TV only takes globe and sbt, and the space is very poorly cared for. The only thing that "saves" is the room that is spacious.

Excellent accommodation!

The hotel is very cosy and with great facilities. Fantastic breakfast, c many varieties and nice Mood. In the afternoon, cake with coffee is served. It could improve in the amount of sockets in the bedroom and in privacy, since the bedroom (106) and bathroom windows are visible at the lower level of the guest house. We had a half-high curtain. Another point is the parking that gets a little messy (there are guests who park occupying 2 places or who leave the car anyway, something that could be better guided by the hotel). But none of this overshadows the excellence of the hotel. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with some room for improvement

A great hotel with a privileged location over Ouro Preto and an absolutely charming colonial atmosphere make for a great experience! Breakfast buffet was very good for my taste with lots of fresh fruit and juices and stunning views of the city. Staff was very friendly. Three (minor) issues which provide room for improvement: WiFi at least in our room was unstable/sketchy (but worked fine in the lobby); no closets/ possibilities to hang your clothes and, least not last, the TV only offered a handful of local channels when smart TV seems to be the standard nowadays. I will admit that these 3 issues would, however, not prevent me from coming back to the hotel ... the positive aspects outweighed the shortcomings by far!
