Best Pousada, quiet, on the beach and colada in the Historic Center.
Undoubtedly the breakfast was the best part of this stay. The room was charming, good bed and big, shower with lots of strength - great bath. But the breakfast enchanted us more than anything: mixed eggs, homemade cake, super-filled tapioca, fruit juice made on time, jelly they make themselves, farm cheese, even their cheese is homemade. All very good, Paraty's face! Beautiful garden with free birds and monkeys.
The care of the girls was very good, especially for Bia's tours tips! Thank you very much: we will be back!

I recommend this hostel!
I spent 3 days at Pousada Pontal Gardens and the experience was excellent. Since the arrival, I was received with a lot of sympathy and attention. Night check-in was all right and has guest house parking at the door.
The guesthouse is beautiful, charming, very well cared for and surrounded by a garden that conveys a sense of peace and tranquility. The room was very comfortable, I chose the Junior suite, extremely clean and cozy.
The breakfast deserves a special highlight: everything very fresh, tasty with multiple choices of what you want to eat, the girls give a show in the service. In addition, the location is excellent, allowing you to walk to the Historic Center and Pontal Beach, without having to use the car.
During the three days I felt very well received, seems to be being received as a member of the family. The staff was always helpful, giving great tips on tours and restaurants, making our trip even more special.
It was definitely one of the best stays I have ever had in Paraty. I would recommend Pousada Pontal Gardens for those looking for comfort, impeccable service and an excellent location in Paraty. You could come back!

A perfectly charming pousada just on the fringe of the historical centre which was ideal for me. The host Bia and Daniel went above and beyond to look after me which meant a 5.30am check in and specially coming to let me in before dawn. They arranged everything from restaurants, taxi’s and tours. Nothing was to much trouble. Aside from the fabulous service, I loved the rustic bohemian chic style and feel to the place and the way they designed it. Everyone compliments the breakfast which I concur and is deserving of all the praise. Various room types and sizes, and what I could see they all looked great pending your budget. Highly recommend staying here for an authentic local experience and a big thank you to Bia for being such a happy and helpful host.

An extension of Paraty's charm and hospitality
I chose Pontal Gardens to spend my birthday weekend and it too surprised my expectations. Bia and Daniel welcomed us with great affection and gave incredible tips on restaurants to go. The facilities are beautiful and welcoming, the breakfast was super tasty and the guest house is quite quiet, even with the Divine party taking place in the city. It is less than 5 minutes from the Historic Center (going on foot), the location is great for those going without a car, as was my case. I would return a thousand times, an experience that I carry in my heart.

Great stay with family
Had a great stay here. The place is oriented towards couples but we inquired and were told we could bring our teen and tween as part of a family stay. Really enjoyed the daily breakfasts, the staff was welcoming and kind throughout, and the location is great -- just far enough from the center of Paraty to be quiet but still very accesible with a short walk. Also about 1 minute walk from Pontal beach which has kayaks and SUPs for rent and just a couple minutes from where the boats are docked on the river if your stay includes a boat tour.
