Best Hostel in PaA
I spent the Carnival in Porto Alegre and was very well received by the staff of POA ECO HOSTEL.
Super well located, with markets, bars, restaurants, squares, sights all a few minutes away. Securo neighborhood, which offers patinete and bicycles for rent.
Always attentive staff and 24-hour reception makes the environment always organized and clean.
Ample outdoor area, with nets and pool to relax.
Frida (the dog) is part of the team, super soft and fun.
Super well located, with markets, bars, restaurants, squares, sights all a few minutes away. Securo neighborhood, which offers patinete and bicycles for rent.

Good service, good place, but...
I made the phone reservation for a private room. In the end, what I had was a bedroom with bedding, i.e. a shared room, but fortunately no one in the same room, but in a bedding bed and shared bathroom. Care is comrade, but is very poorly organized. I had to wait almost half an hour to get into the room because they had no system. The fatigue hit and I didn't even complain. Just a fan in the room, which in the summer of joyful harbor should be terrible. There's a very docileapitbull running around the hostel, but scared. No accessibility (the embarrassment with a wheelchair was a drop of water), and super tight parking (if you're going to stay by car here, leave your car in the parking lot next to the hostel, much better). There is no breakfast, there is no hygiene product, it is just a place to sleep (and bad). Okay, it's a hostel, but I've stayed in several hostels, and this is definitely not the best of them. But the prison is a good comrade in the care, at least that!

A pleasant stay at a friendly place :)
A two-storied place with its front yard a small lovely garden, the "best part" of staying at this place was just being with its absolutely wonderful & friendly staff members whose smiles really made my stay here a "quite pleasant" one (and thank you Josie for calling an uber for me on my day of departure). And also on the plus side were a fairly-filling breakfast (somewhat more than just a basic one), a nice-sized 4-bed dorm room where I stayed (with a "good enough space" between the two bunk beds unlike at some other places I stayed where that space was almost negligible), and actually also this one room on the first floor "like a living room of a house" with comfortable sofa chairs & also a big-screen TV (for somewhat of a feeling of being at home I would say & just a nice spot to relax at the end of the sightseeing day).
Also great is the convenience of the place where just in a walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes (a right turn after coming out followed by a left turn onto the first street which is Rua Gen. Lima e Silva) are a "quite sizeable" supermarket, plenty of restaurants (with a nice buffet restaurant among them although it may only be for daytime) & a laundry (either self-service or done by them). And also nearby at a walk of 5 minutes or so (to the right after coming out and just straight to the end of the street in front of this place) is Parque Farroupilha which is just a medium-sized park but not a bad place to hang out with a nice-sized lake on its west side (just the side straight from this place) & two reflecting pools in the middle of the park.

Great place, great people!!!
The main issue, and that I've found there, was to feel free to move around. Also everybody that I met were open minded and very receptive. I'm very glad to meet the staff, Felipe, Alison, Zé and a very kind woman that I unfortunately forgot the name. Congrats! Márcio, Galera!!!!

Great hostel!
Staff: very friendly and helpful with good English.
Location : good. About 20 minutes walk to the historic centre, 5 minutes to a park and a supermarket and plenty of bars/restaurants very nearby.
Hostel: good place. Nice communal area with TV. Kitchen quite small but has everything you need to cook. The pool is a great addition and is a lovely place to relax in the afternoon sun.
Room: our double room was only small but was fine and private bathroom all fine.
Breakfast : standard fare of bread, jam, coffee and fruit. Could be improved but no qualms and it sets you up for the day.
