Loveee this hostel. Staff are super friendly and helpful especially Billie and Caio. Billie was really lovely and made us feel super welcome!! The free breakfast and bbq are also a great way to meet people. Defo recommend

The hills of Santa Teresa ask for a few extra steps, but the views tend to settle the argument ✨ And there's no better icebreaker than a Sunday BBQ, glad you found your people around it

Sleeping is difficult

We have barely been able to sleep because of the noise of the disco downstairs. We had to say something about it every (weekday) night. Then the music went down a little 5 mins and then continued at full blast.
Sometimes the staff are rude too. Then they would ask us where we were from and say: ohh but in the Netherlands you can sleep enough.
The breakfast was good and the room tidy, although there were no locks on the doors anywhere.

We owe you an apology, plain and simple Coming to us for something as basic as a decent night's sleep and not getting it, on top of being met with the wrong attitude, isn't something we'll try to justify. It's been taken seriously on our end, and honestly you deserved far better from us. If Rio brings you back one day, we'd like the chance to prove it

Amazing hostel, Must go!

Such great vibes at this hostel. Everyone’s so nice, thank you so much to Billie for being so so friendly even when she’s not working!! And Caio for his help with the tours. Can’t wait to come back!

On top of Santa Teresa.

Very good hostel with nice and helpful administration. The place itself is really spacious like a real palace with a nice pool area. Staff there are constantly organizing some activities so staying there will be far from boring. Also it is highly social so meeting new people there are quite easy. The location is really on top of Santa Teresa neighborhood so the views from above on Rio and Tijuka park are really good. Unless you are for something totally tranquil and silent I would definitely recommend to stay in there and enjoy the Santa Teresa vibe.

Don't hesitate and get a room here !

It was amazing staying at the Castelo for our last 4 nights in Rio!
We had our private room in the new part of the hostel and it was just like an hotel, everything was perfect, the breakfast with all you can imagine to eat, all the activities proposed by the hostel, the different space to chill, hangout of even party with the incredible bar downstairs.
And talking about that, i don't know how it works but the pary was at its prime and still our room was quite like the desert so a very very good point.
Finally, a huge thanks to Mohammed that helped us get our phone back after forgetting it on the uber! He was perfect, thank you, thank you, thank you.
