An Enchanting Evening Above the Rooftops of Rio

We spent a wonderful evening at Vila Santa Teresa and its restaurant, Beatriz. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is something you feel the moment you arrive, and the view over Rio is simply breathtaking. Every detail has been thought through with care, from the decoration to the beautifully prepared food.
A special mention goes to Roberto, one of the loveliest people we met in Rio. Even though we were not staying at the hotel, he could not have been more helpful or more genuinely kind.
Next time we come to Rio, we will definitely book a room at Vila Santa Teresa.

Wonderful escape and stay

We spent 3 wonderful nights at the Vila. From the moment of our arrival- to your departure the staff and our experience there was top notch. The sweeping views of Rio are amazing and the meals were outstanding. We are a family with many dietary issues and the chef and all who helped us made sure we had no issues and many choices. We had 2 rooms and the premiere suite was fabulous. Spacious with a balcony and bathroom with great water pressure. The delux suite was also very comfortable but without the views.
I will mention that if you are unfamiliar with the area- if you think you can walk from Vila to town, it really is not feasible. So the only inconvenience is the difficulty accessing the property. But you feel entirely safe and removed from the busy city- a true escape.

Great Stay. Would go back again.

The service was quite good. We stayed in their largest room, the Claudia. It’s quiet, secure, and you cannot beat the view from the top of the Santa Teresa neighborhood - great to watch the sunrise. They deserve 5 stars!
Keep in mind this is a boutique hotel with one restaurant and although transportation can be arranged, you can’t really walk anywhere from the hotel. Because of this the food options can feel limited after a few nights of going to the same restaurant. Nonetheless, great food, drinks, and awesome chef!
Areas of improvement, especially for the price you pay:
- ensure no dirty hand towels are left hanging in the rooms.
- bottom of pool could have been cleaner.

The stay in Vila Santa Teresa is a love for the soul! A thousand note service, Chef David's food impeccable, and a more than wonderful place. We did the Sunset experience, where Roberto, the executive maid, prepared us a niche pique for watching at sunset, in a super intimate and perfect climate! My heartfelt thanks to the whole team, you made our stay unforgettable. We want to go back!
