Our time at Fazenda Catuçaba was unforgettable - a place where nature, design, spirit and human warmth come together in perfect harmony. We stayed at the Waterfall House, surrounded by forest and the sound of running water, birds and farm life. The furnishings and artwork were deeply inspiring, every detail thoughtfully chosen to reflect the soul of the land. The farm-to-table meals at the main house were exceptional - fresh, seasonal, and shared family-style with other guests. Each meal felt like a celebration of connection to the land, to one another, and to the moment itself.
Days unfolded effortlessly - swimming in the lake, horseback riding through the hills, and visiting the farm’s sacred sites, each carrying a deeply grounding presence. Fazenda Catuçaba invites you to slow down, learn, and heal simply by being in rhythm with the earth. The hosts and staff are extraordinary - warm, generous, and attentive. We left feeling grounded, inspired, and deeply renewed. Catuçaba isn’t just a destination; it’s an experience of belonging - where everything is done with intention, grace, and heart.

It's not worth staying in the lake house.
The catuçaba farm is not a hotel. It is more for Airbnb, but with 5 star hotel price. We stayed at the lake house, far from the mansion. Beautiful place, with a private lake and very green. The combined and PAGO was to be treated like a hotel, daily cleaning in the house, with the 3 meals included. The house urgently needs a renovation, floor with deep holes where spiders come out. The house was never cleaned, as it would be in a farm hotel. The couple that takes care of everything, Vivian and Reginaldo are lovers of people and always trying to help us, but an entire and huge farm with 2 employees is impossible. As hard as they try, we see part of the farm abandoned due to a lack of employees.

It's not worth the price it takes. Disappointment.
In January 2026, we were at Farm Catuçaba. 5-star hotel price, however, does not deliver the equivalent of two stars. The first day, there was no hot water. The water was scarce and not warm enough. We take a bath like that. On the second day of the night, the water disappeared. We had to heat the kitchen tap water in the stove, and take a "caneque bath". We got a weekend with plenty of rain. Three drip points appeared inside the house. (When we arrived, we noticed some bath towels placed in one of the drip places, near the fireplace). We hire the full pension service. Very simple meals, nothing too much. Despite the willingness of the staff to try to resolve the problems, the questions remained until the end of our lodging.

A fabulous place to reconnect with Nature and enjoy Brazilian country side
Fazenda Catuçaba is a great place, and a one-of-its kind experience. Just two hours way from Sao Paulo you find yourself immerged in Nature. The property radiates charm and history. 100% organic products are produced there. Try their eggs, honey, or the 'doce de leite' to realize you never actually eated those before! You can stay in several houses, all with their own charm. I stayed at the Casa do Lago, a totally secluded little charming house with its own private lake! And you can easily go horseback riding from the Fazenda, trailing in the State park nearby and much more! Frankly I thought I'd never be able to leave this place! It was that close. I forgot: this is run by Many and Bianca, also the hosts in Pousada Picinguaba at the sea. Another great place where I stayed and that I recommend too!

Disproportionate propaganda and facilities with the charged value.
We went by indication of a friend, we were in doubt among other houses in other regions. He was in the pandemic.
Let me pass our Impression:
We are quite accustomed to travel, we use both hotels and houses...I do not remember arriving anywhere that did not have someone on arrival to show the facilities, to remove doubts. We miss this “comfort” and more than that, we feel a lot of lack of comfort, especially in the lake house.
We spent the first 3 days without taking a right shower, because the shower didn't work. They tried to arrange and couldn't.
We moved the night, alone to the waterfall house because otherwise we would not take a bath that day, because the water was cold once and no longer warmed.
In the lake house, the amount charged is completely disproportionate to the offered installation.
I don't talk about luxury, I'm a goiana, raised on a farm, so I don't talk about freshness and so on, I talk about the general operation of the house.
A house that is 30-40 minutes from the city, away, should have at least a refrigerator. How to store things without having to go and come from the city?
In the kitchen, the closet underneath does not close the right door, needs to lift up to close, is full of cribs mixed with cutlery, dishes.
We didn't have a coffee bottle, a table towel, a barber.
The sink has the drop of water for those who use it, it is impossible to wash dishes without literally taking a bath.
On the site, the sunset that appears in the photos seems to be accessible, as well as the other facilities of the farm. If they are, we did not know and therefore did not use.
By the internet it seems to be a more “human” experience with people who can receive us.
In the cahoeira house to which we were transferred, the facilities are better but the shower tb is not good, or the water becomes pale or if you open too much the cold it freezes...at least it is a little better than the other that it was impossible to take a bath. In this house the internet tb does not work well, I couldn't work.
About the Marciel the virtual assistant, super careful, tried to help us with the shower problem and give us tips from the region.
Anyway... that was it.
Unfortunately we were disappointed with our choice.
The cost benefit is not worth it at all! And what's worse, our seven days that should have been of tranquility and comfort, were a waste of time.
