Experience not to be repeated

We chose this hotel for the location and the reviews. First of all, the photos create false expectations; when you arrive, the reality is different.
We had a reservation from the 15th to the 18th, confirmed and paid for days ago. Due to a flight problem, notified to the hotel at the time by email, we arrived on the 16th and found ourselves without a room.
Their explanation and response was to send us to another hotel in the chain, 1 km further from the center and to an inferior room.
Without any solution or compensation for their error and price differences, on the day of departure they tried to charge me for the room a second time.
It is the first time something like this has happened to me, and I sleep in a hotel 3 nights a week for work.
Honestly, I recommend you look for another hotel.

In the heart of Sofia, short walk from Vitosha Blvd pedestrian zone. They have valley parking inside the building for extra 25euro.

Pleasant stay near Vitosha Boulevard

Stayed at Hotel Rosslyn Thracia Sofia for a long weekend in early July with breakfast included. My room had double beds, a sofa, a desk, and a little coffee table. Overall well-appointed and with very good air-conditioning. WiFi was decent.
Breakfast had a good spread of ham, cheeses, fruit, plain and chocolate croissants, breads, yoghurts, juices, coffee, tea, etc.
Location was great as it was situated in a quite tree-lined street, within a few minutes walk to Vitosha Boulevard (the main pedestrian street with shops and restaurants).
It was a pleasant stay and I would not hesitate booking with this property again.

Amazing long weekend during Christmas Holiday

We spend the New Year Eve during our long weekend at the Rosslyn Thracia Hotel. Very central on a quiet side street, yet many restaurants and shops are just around the corner. Lovely and cosy hotel with very helpful and officiant staff. Super clean modern rooms with all one needs. Many pillows, tv, power points, good hairdryer. All main places of interest within walking distance. Perfect stay for couples and families. Look no further. Continental breakfast served till 11:00. No lunch and dinners are required as guest are spoiled with a choice of caffès and restaurants around. Definitely recommend.
