Diarrhea on the bed overnight!
Very dirty. What made me chk out: man had diarrhea on the bed & they left sheets there overnight. I came in late and didn't see it until the morning. I had to remove soiled linens/mattress. Disgusting

No good rooms & no good wine
Where do I start, the room wasn’t cleaned properly. The pillow case had load of black marks and there was a pair of dirty tights left hanging on the hangers. When we called cleaner to show the case she argued with us that it was brand new and wouldn’t change it. I wish I had time to take a photo. After she left we inspected rest of room and saw dirty mattress, floor with stains, dirty shelves and table that wasn’t wiped. Also the ceiling had lovely wooden beams but whole thing was covered in years of webs and super dirty and windows in ceiling had no blinds so you get woken up at 7am with sunlight glaring at you. Only good this was bathroom was brand new and a lovely kitten roaming the hotel. Location was decent too.

Very dirty hotel
We took a night here because we saw that this hotel has good reviews in booking.com.
This is definitely the dirtiest hotel that I have ever been. We went to our room that was located in the upstairs (we had a roof windows). There was bugs wandering in our bed. At first I though they were small carbages but after we looked them better we saw that they had feet.
We took one bug and went to the reception to show it to the staff. She told us that she didn’t know what it is. After she found out that we were in the roof-room she told that they have come there through the window. There was no other rooms available and the cleaning staff had already gone home.
This was the first time to ever get the feeling that it would be a bad idea to stay there. We checked the whole room to see if there was any signs of bed bugs and luckily we didn’t found so we stayed.
The cleaning staff clearly doesn’t care about the hotel or its cleanliness. The carpet was so dirty that after you had showered you didn’t want to step on the floor so I used shoes to walk there. I don’t know if they have vacuumed the room for a year or something. There were small carbages everywhere. Also we checked the bed because of the high risks to get bed bugs and got sick because the bed was so dirty. The matress was filled with trash and they stinged you when you went to lay in the bed.
If you want to get sleep don’t look under the bed. It has not been cleaned since someone has bring the bed in the room.
Also we heard that other guests were asking the receptionist if they could clean their room because they had also dirty ones.
We also read that there has been guests that have experienced their money disappearing from their rooms so we needed to take our value items with us.
It is so sad that the unprofessional cleaning staff is ruining a hotel that would be so comfy and pretty without them. This hotel should really think about getting a new cleaners.

Nice location but rundown
I discovered Just rooms & wine in 2018 while searching for a central place to stay in Varna. I was nicely surprised by the then fresh interior design and kept coming back every summer. I'm afraid I won't go back after my last experience. I booked a small double room via booking.com as the description said it was 5 x 6 m on size. In reality it was a tiny loft room, more likely like 4 m 3 m. I asked for a replacement and was offered another double room with a small extra fee, which I accepted. The room was a bit bigger but there was constantly cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom. I got woken up in the middle of the night by the smoke on my last day. When I asked the cleaning lady if one can smoke in the hotel I was advised to do it by the window in my room! Enough said... As far as I can tell smoking is illegal in public places in Bulgaria, this hotel is clearly rundown.

budget but central
this is a basic hotel in the centre of town, between the centre and sea garden. there is no lift in the building, not suitable for disabled people. only one of the rooms has a balcony, so if you are smoker you do request that room. no fridge in the room. The linen was clean and the room as well upon arrival, except for the dirty showerhead.
The staff is cheerful and helpful enough. I felt safe in this hotel and will return
