A great hotel with a few niggles

Fantastic location , handy for all the attractions.
Room was lovely and clean in a quiet area of the hotel.
Aircon was a much needed luxury as it reached 36. Degrees during our stay.
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and refreshed promptly.
Staff were in the main friendly and helpful.
A service charge is added at every opportunity, you can remove it but it becomes a bit tiresome.
Would definitely recommend but be aware of the service charges .
A great hotel in a fantastic city.

Beautiful hotel, but prepay breakfast and eat like staff.

What a beautiful hotel. Its location is perfect if you want to be in old town just off the square. Its entrance is inconspicuous and the people friendly. After check in you are taken to your room and the hotel is so large you would never find your way without a guide. The room was gorgeous with period furniture and a huge bathroom which had a bathtub and shower with great water pressure.
The bed was amazing.
The breakfast was a little disappointing. If you prepay for breakfast with your room you are ushered through the main dining area, through the kitchen, down to a little cramped room which probably held no more than 30 people at a push. The selection was very limited with pre cooked fried eggs that were hard. You had to squeeze by people to get to anything. The room gave you the feeling of being staff having breakfast in the basement. This was the only down side.
The hotel is convenient,to old town, the square and the Bigbus stop.

Great for sightseeing

The hotel is centrally located and great for sightseeing. we found our suite comfortable, warm and quiet. We managed to access Netflix on the Tvs, but other than that, the Tvs are for news unless you speak Czech. the bed was very firm but manageable, water hot and plentiful, but the mini bar was expensive. large supermarkets (Tesco & Lidl plus more) are nearby so buy water etc from there, avoid small local supermarkets as they are very expensive. we found the tap water was safe to drink. the hotel breakfast is luke warm but plentiful, what you usually expect in a buffet breakfast. We were surprised at checkout that there was a £100czk per day tourist tax (I would prefer to have been notified of this at the beginning of my stay) plus an outrageous £200czk daily service charge! The main man on reception is very rude and abrupt, and unless he is the owner, I don't understand why he is still employed! all other staff are very friendly and helpful. all in all, Prague is a lovely city and well worth a visit.

Lovely hotel let down by shabby breakfast

We stayed for three nights in August. We’d booked a suite which was a stunning room, large, clean and well appointed. Staff were lovely, always smiling and helpful. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for the complimentary breakfast - after descending steep steps by the kitchen into a dingy basement room, the buffet was low quality fare without much choice, and it was challenging negotiating the stairs carrying plates and hot drinks, definitely not what I would expect from a five star hotel. Poor breakfast apart, everything else about the hotel was amazing.

Lovely Hotel

Location in the Old Town is perfect for this hotel. It is a lovely building with lots of character. Reception staff on check in was not very friendly but who knows what was going on in his life? We were charged tourist tax on check out even though we are 73 & 75. The next hotel told us seniors don’t have to pay the tax. Nevertheless we would go back to this hotel another time.
