great place to stay
an awsome place to stay, secure, clean, comfortable, nice people, people from all over the world, peaceful place, nice place outside&inside. you can se Villarrica Volcano from the kitchen and outside the hostal. French owners are very polite and nice. You can breathe good vibs in there

It is not good to find surprises when staying in the chosen place.
I chose it because of the proximity to the center and because it had central heating. I didn't imagine he didn't have sheets. It is known, since I go often to Chile that they do not place towel and towel, only towel, then I carry towel. But that they didn't put sheets on the bed, it's been too long and that I tease you by answering that it's normal and explain how we weaponize the bed in your house. Of course I found out about this the night we went to bed. All accommodation for the days of stay was already paid. They use only the bed cover that has a batt inside, which is not hygienic and makes you perspire grossly because it is not pure cotton. Another night we ran out of heat. We got cold.

Quiet, central - not just a hostel
This is not just a hostel - we had a double room/bathroom with kitchenette on the first floor just down the road from the main building. From the windows we could see the active Volcano clearly with its little puff of steam. We had been traveling for over a month so it was a treat to be able to supermarket-shop and eat in. Its an easy10 mins walk from several bus stations located in the same street at the opposite end of the small town. There are a couple of large supermarkets about the same distance away. Despite it being predominantly a hostel it was very peaceful and we weren’t disturbed by the communal kitchen/dining room below us. The owner is also the proprietor of a travel agency and can organise trips for you. Reception staff are helpful and speak several languages. Its cheaper to pay in US$ rather than using a credit card; there is a US$10 refundable key deposit to prevent you inadvertently walking off with them! Our room was a good size with ceiling fan, large windows that opened, and plenty of hot water. Highly recommend

Nice quiet hostel
The hostal is nice and clean with good kitchen facilities. It's close walking distance to the centre of town and the staff are all very friendly. The Wi-Fi is a bit slow and often didn't connect in my room

A Perfect Hostel in a Great Location
Myself and girlfriend stayed at Hostel French Andes as part of a 10 week backpacking trip around South America.
The hostel was located very close walk to the bus terminals and the center of town, so very easy to get to when arriving in Pucon.
Our hosts were kind and friendly from the moment that we walked through the door and were always on hand to help. They spoke great English, and were fantastic at recommending hikes/things to do around Pucon.
The hostel was perfectly clean, the communal areas were spotless and the garden had a beautiful view of volcano Villarrica.
We enjoyed our small room, we didn’t mind the size as you could see the stars through the skylight whilst laying in bed, the lockers outside were great for storing big backpacks. Nice to keep them out the way.
Would absolutely recommend Hostel French Andes for anyone looking for a perfect place in Pucon.
