Best hostel experience
The dorms are large and cosy with fireplaces for winter, the shared bathrooms are immaculate and the showers piping hot. Everything is beautifully decorated and there are comfortable lounge and dining areas. The communal kitchen is large, spotless and so well organised. There is a coffee machine with superb coffee. The garden is large and peaceful with chairs and hammocks and a dining table.
It’s a short way up the hill from the village so it’s quiet and very accessible. Walking distance to both bus terminals, the beach and all the shops, sites and restaurants. The staff is amazing!!! — so friendly and helpful and welcoming.
I stayed a week and could happily stay longer. I loved it all.

Great place to stay
Great place to stay! is a few blocks from Supermarkets, Restaurants and cafes. You can walk to the Costanera in about 10 minutes. The service is very good, all very friendly. It has everything to make your stay easier. Recommended!

SUPER COSY, BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM THE SIDE STREET.
We started just winter and loved that there were fireplaces throughout the house. The place is super cozy, lots of wood, lots of fluffy armchairs to be in. The room we booked in the photos had much more space, the one we got was quite reduced, but the bed was comfortable and we never went cold. Bathroom tubs flooded quite a lot, but it is appreciated that they provided shampoos and personal hygiene items. Spacious kitchen with all the necessary utensils, parking although reduced, very useful if you will rent a car! There are several cats in the yard which makes it perfect :3 very friendly receptionists, solve all doubts and even get you bikes to rent!:). They recommended a waterfall that we had no idea existed and was totally worth it, so grateful for that!! We had many problems paying by card, your terminals made mistakes multiple times, so I recommend you carry the cash of your stay preferably so you do not battle. It is relatively close to the center and although the street is quite dark at night (we never feel unsafe) and steep, the sunrise view over Osorno makes it all worthwhile. I think without problems we would stay here again, we really liked it:)

Hostel
Good location. The entire hostel staff is pretty cool. Vc goes down a small slope is already in the center glued to a market and a Subway 24hs that was the salvation for me that I arrived late.
The facilities are good and have heating. In the kitchen and fridge vc has organizers with the name of your room. Good wi-fi.
I just found the mattress a little soft. The floor is made of wood, so depending on the guest's education it may bother or not.
In the vicinity there is plenty of commerce: 3 markets, exchanges, shops, restaurants and even a small shop.
It is possible to do some tours such as Frutillar and Petrohue waterfalls, just taking the local minibus.

A charming place (historical Mapatagonia)
My opinion is about the historic Mapatagonia: from the same owners, just 100 meters from the Mapatagonia classic (but the historic one is not listed to rate on Tripadvisor: the Yunge house is listed in its location, since the construction is a historic building that has that name)
This historic house preserves its original larch shingle front, and its interior has been charmingly adapted to function as a Hostel: the wooden floors, its garden, its kitchen (super complete, and it also has one just for vegans), its warm living room (both for its decoration and for its enormous stove), the attention to all the details, make the stay there very pleasant. The shared rooms are spacious, the bunk beds have comfortable stairs to access the upper ones, and curtains on the lower ones for greater privacy. A large wooden trunk to store your things, with lock and key. Very good quality Italian coffee beans and an espresso machine available 24 hours a day complete those pamperings that make you not want to leave there.
To take advantage of the days that they offer dinner at the Hostel, at a more than affordable price, they offered us exquisite pink salmon ceviche.
The cleanliness of the shared bathrooms, and of the entire hostel: impeccable
The attention of both its owners and the receptionists was excellent all the time: they answered previous questions by email, and those that arose in person, always with warmth and kindness.
The location is very good, just 200 - 300 meters from the center, restaurants, supermarket, shops, shopping, minibus stop that goes to Lago de Todos Los Santos and the Petrohue waterfalls. Just keep in mind that to return from the center the street has an uphill slope (that's all of Puerto Varas)
