Great hostel, clean, nice showers and great location if you have a car

We had a double room with shared bathroom, the bed was made up every day and the bathrooms had been cleaned early each morning so everything always felt nice and fresh. The kitchen was well kept and the first hostel we felt comfortable cooking in! The showers were always hot. A petrol station that looks to be recently built takes away from the views from the terrace, but the location of this hostel if you’ve rented a car is great as you can get straight out of town and parking is easy. The staff were very helpful, even sorting out printing at a nearby hostel when their printer was out of action. We would definitely stay again.

it was ok

We stayed during the low season so there weren't many guests. If the hostel was full it might have felt cramped. the 4-bed dorm was the smallest I had come across in a hostel. It was clean and comfortable, just really small. Lockers are in the reception area, just big enough for a small backpack. Kitchen also small but clean and mostly well equipped (only gripe is one chopping board). Bathrooms ok, clean with hot showers but its shower cubicles with shower curtains. There's no place to hang clothes/towel, just makes things awkward. Laundry service CH$2000/kg, given in the morning and returned in the afternoon. Free self-service tea and coffee. Great wifi. Cable tv. Lounge area spacious but lacking natural light. The terrace at the back with mountain views was nice. The staff were very friendly, no English but always smiling and approachable. Off road parking available.

Nice, clean and comfortable.
room cleaned and Bed made everyday . Good value for money and wifi. Highly recommend . owners welcoming . Good location close to centre and bus station.

Laundry Service overpriced & unjustified

We stayed one night at the hostel and gave our laundry to the laundry service of the hostel (2'000 chil. peso per kilo). The receptionist (probabely the owner) said, that she will scale it later....unfortunately I didn't insist to see it with my own eyes! The next morning she charged us for 7.5 kg (15'000 chil. pesos)! In other laundry services on our trip the same amount of clothes was less than 3 kilos....
When I complained she said that someone else scaled it but it was correct...!
By the way: some of the clothes were missing after the laundry service and I had to go with the receptionist to the drying area to search it between other things...!
Very noisy during the night when other customers leave for early morning tours!
Receptionists during evening/morning were very unmotivated and unfriendly.

Clean, superb wifi

Great cosy little hostel. Small but fine kitchen, great showers, hot water, free tea and coffee all day, nice garden, hammocks, helpful staff, possibility to organize tours. Best wifi I've had in a hostel in South America. Definitely recommend this spot
