Exceptional service that begins the moment you arrive
We arrived in Santiago on an early morning flight at around 5AM after a long and exhausting journey. Needless to say, we were not in the best shape — I was feeling quite unwell, with stomach issues that made it difficult to even stand. We made our way to the hotel by Uber and arrived at around 6AM, well ahead of the standard 3PM check-in time.
We were greeted immediately by Francesca, who was warm and attentive from the outset. I explained my situation and asked whether an early check-in might be possible. Within 10 to 15 minutes, the hotel had arranged a room for us — a gesture I was genuinely grateful for. We did encounter a minor issue with the initial room, and the team kindly upgraded us to a corner suite, which was a lovely touch.
The service throughout our stay was consistently outstanding. Whether we were seated in the lobby or relaxing elsewhere in the hotel, a bottle of water would appear almost immediately — a small detail that speaks volumes about how attentive the staff are. Every member of the team was pleasant, professional, and genuinely willing to go above and beyond.
The rooms themselves are elegant and comfortable, and the hotel's location in the heart of Santiago is ideal. Areas like Las Condes and Vitacura are just a short Uber ride away, making it easy to explore the city at your own pace. We have stayed at many hotels across Chile and around the world, and I can say with confidence that Debaines stands apart.
This is a small boutique five-star hotel that puts larger properties to shame. If you are visiting Santiago and want elegance, comfort, and a level of service that is truly second to none, look no further. We will absolutely be returning.

The staff here was amazing....amenities wonderful. Even through rain and other issues they staff stepped up to the plate on so many occasions.

Beautiful facilities, but poor dining service.
The hotel is new, with excellent construction and finishes. Its location is excellent; just steps from the municipal theater of Santiago. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, with magnificent bathrooms and spotless beds. However, there was no coffee maker or minibar (empty).
We wanted to have lunch at the Copper Room restaurant, which is heavily promoted on the website, but it was closed. We were told it was only open for dinner. In the evening we went, but it was also closed, ("we do not serve on weekends").
So we went up to the rooftop, but it was also closed. In the end, we ended up eating at the café that the hotel has at the entrance; which is just average. The next day we went to have breakfast at the same place. There is no buffet. We ordered a continental breakfast, which promises orange juice. Guess what: There was none. They did not provide plates for the bread. The waiters were very inexperienced, below expectations for this type of hotel.
In summary, beautiful facilities, excellent rooms, and a good location but poor dining service.

Debaines cuenta con dos propuestas gastronómicas: el Gran Café, disponible todo el día con una carta amplia y variada, y el Copper Room, con servicio de almuerzo de lunes a viernes. Dicho esto, La Terraza debió haber estado disponible para usted como huésped del hotel, y pedimos disculpas por no haberle ofrecido esa opción. Tomaremos nota de sus observaciones sobre el desayuno y la formación de nuestro equipo de sala para seguir mejorando.
Respecto al minibar y la cafetera, ambos están disponibles según las preferencias de cada huésped - nos habría encantado preparárselos. Tomamos nota de que esta información no fue comunicada oportunamente en el check-in, y trabajaremos para que no vuelva a ocurrir.

A totally happy stay
We had a wonderful time in this hotel . As gold members of Hilton we got a room upgrade to a wonderfully large room , with huge comfortable bed and a great bathroom complete with Japanese toilet which we adored !!!!!!
Every single member of staff was super friendly and kind . The only name I remember is Pedro ! But the girls at breakfast and on the desk always greeted us as we walked to our room .

Fabulous time at Debaines
We had a fabulous time at Debaines Hotel. We met Paulo, Pedro, Francesca and Camilla, all of whom were very friendly, very hospitable and very efficient. They gave us useful advice regarding places to visit, how to keep ourselves safe , food options etc. Francesca and Pedro helped us by calling tour operators to reconfirm our day tours, which was a great help. We had Completos at the hotel for dinner and it was delicious! Breakfast was good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Location is excellent too!
