Great place in a great location!
This hotel was just what my brother and I needed. The room was clean, the water was hot and the bed slept well. The location is close to restaurants and bars and was very reasonably priced. The free breakfast was more than expected and the WiFi was fast. We were just in Santiago for one night but I would stay here again for sure! Don't listen to the negative reviews, you get what you pay for. This is not a 5 star hotel but it exceded our expectations and was a wonderful place to stay.

Disappointing
The hotel is well located. The rooms were old and dirty. No shower or toilet in the rooms.
The toilet on the landing was clogged
The images on the site are misleading. They must have been taken a long time ago. There hasn't been any maintenance in ages and everything's rundown.

Hotel for a common visitor, not for tourists.
I was in Santiago for my honeymoon in September 2016, but only today I was able to do this evaluation. I was totally disappointed after arriving at this Hotel. The place was old and poorly maintained, it seems that they did not make renovations for a long time, the hygiene conditions in the common areas were also not the best. There was no one who could carry my luggage upstairs. No elevator available. When I looked at the photos on the hotel's website, I saw a double room with a good appearance, which made me choose the Baleares, but when I entered the room they gave me, I realized that it followed the same pattern as the rest: old, ugly and poor in hygiene. I asked to change room and I was taken to the last floor, but the room was uglier and very hot, because it was close to the roof. I concluded that there was no way to celebrate my marriage in a place like that, so I decided to ask for the money back and go somewhere else. At that point I saw myself in another country with nowhere to go with my wife and my suitcases, luckily after a long search I found a vacancy in another hotel nearby. Wifi were the only thing I used, and really worked. The service at the reception was not good, curt and unwilling attendant to solve the impasse. In the end they refused to return the payment, insisting that the reservation was "non-refundable". Summary: I lost money and ended up unsatisfied. No sense having a good location without quality.

Looking for a Chilean hotel?
We did. The location is great, the price is pretty good, the rooms are more like for backpackers than regular (not soo young) folks. We thought of leaving and looking for something else, but we stayed on and got used to it. The breakfast is included but not really great,we did like the restaurant which is part of the hotel. I think it does not have A/C, but we did not need one.

Hotel com dono muito solícito e disposto a ajudar.
O hotel é diferente, o quarto é muito confortável e limpo. Roupa de cama quentinha e atendimento excelente do senhor Vitor.
Um dia houve problema com água quente mas depois de comentar, arrumaram rápido. Um cano estava solto.
O senhor Vitor (dono) foi excelente. Muito solícito, me ajudou com a estadia e com o horário do checkin.
