Charming, small hotel

This simple,very small hotel is close to an active area, but on a quiet street. The place was immaculate, safe, comfortable, and friendly. Our room had a large, private patio where Maria brought us breakfast, and where we could have quiet drink after a long day of sightseeing. The owner, Jack, was a wonderful, helpful guy who enjoyed helping us practice our awful French; and we helped him practice his awful English. A great experience all around. Las Flores is highly recommended.

Online reservation and emails were so unreliable

I booked this hotel online in early October - and heard nothing. I emailed to ask if they had our reservation. The emailed back to say our room was reserved. I reconfirmed today - we arrive in Santiago in one week - and the room was given to someone else. Not impressed.

Could not find booking, even after I gave both name and booking number. First night with Chilean Currency exchange. Not sure if I was charged correctly

Good and clean

We stayed here for two nights on a stopover from Patagonia going north. The hotel was clean, but a bit dated. It was Ok since we were not looking for 4 star acommodations. You get a very light breakfast and the hotel is walking distance to the subway.

Alright, but better can be found for a similar price.

To be honest, I didn't feel as comfortable in this B&B as some others mentioned.
Although the hosts were accommodating and nice, the rooms, bed, and furniture were all "past their prime" and in need of a replacement. The place felt very-well lived in, if not a bit tired.
We reserved a queen-sized bed and were first put in a room on the top floor with three singles. As the owners graciously tried to accommodate our request, we then had to schlep our luggage downstairs as they put us in a room with a double (and another single in the corner... It was odd). The rooms were super warm with only a fan (that could no longer oscillate).
We've travelled through out Latin America and have stayed in many places, we're used to many different standards but this place just didn't feel clean. After one night, of 35 degree days in Santiago, and no A/C we moved to a different hotel.
The breakfast was nice, but minimal; bread, yogurt, coffee, juice and an egg if you wanted it.
I guess, overall, it wasn't bad but at $100 per night; I'd expect (and found) something a bit nicer... I felt gauged.
In terms of location, it is central but also on a busy street with traffic seemingly 24/7.
We did have family in room #6, which had its own patio with bistro set; A very special feature.
