Nice service and facilities
Stayed five nights, and was comfortable. Nice, large suite with proper bathroom. The bath and shower worked well.
The room was a bit cool, it not feeling like the 23° showing on the Aircon was accurate. A management attempt to fix it was unsuccessful.
The sheets were a bit small for the bed, which was otherwise comfortable.
Nice breakfast.
They kindly gave us a lunch pack when we left before the breakfast opened on our last day. Much appreciated.

Staff was 20/10
The staff at any hotel can make or break your experience. I have to say without hesitation all the staff I encountered were extremely helpful and very friendly. The restaurant staff 10/10. In high mention is Gül (Rose) who worked at the back reception desk. She is so carasmatic and charming. She was the first staff member I met. I love her energy and enthusiasm for her job. She is a true Ambassador for the hotel!

Relaxing break
Me and my husband enjoyed a relaxing 2 week break at Pia Bella..the good things were:
The staff.. were absolutely lovely! From the smiley ladies who cleaned our room to the guys walking round the pool to the waiters in the restaurant..everyone was so polite & friendly..you should be so proud of them all!
Our room.. we were in the ‘old’ block with a lovely balcony view of the pools & gardens..it was spotless & towels & bedding were regularly changed..the bed was firm, but comfortable and we slept really well..
Food in the restaurant was varied & tasty, though we did find it a little bland..loved the different yogurts, fruits and especially the gorgeous brown Turkish bread at breakfast..
We found Samet, our representative, very helpful when it came to getting around & where to visit…the highlight was definitely Bellapais Monastery & I would say it’s one place not to miss when you’re here..
The only criticism we have..and it’s why the hotel has 4 stars instead of 5, is that we thought the bar area was a bit too quiet and lifeless in the evenings..a bit of live music, or some kind of entertainment would have been nice.. and we didn’t appreciate the ongoing noise from the work on the steps next to the casino on some days..it really disrupted the general peace and quiet of the hotel and it as grounds..
Overall though we had the best time cans would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

Mostly good but not quite as described on their website
Our experience at Pia Bella was somewhat mixed, but overall I'll rate it as good, because the buffet food (breakfast and dinner) were fine, the grounds and pool areas are well kept and the staff are great.
However there were a couple of negatives, one got sorted quickly, the other had no solution. First, the "superior" room we were initially allocated was very depressing, dark with a balcony looking out onto a concrete wall, no view of the lovely grounds, and no bath. After some negotiation, we were moved to a different room the next day which was much better with a lovely view.
However the bath issue could not be solved. This was important to us because my wife, who has mobility and heart problems, is unable to stand unaided in a shower. This would be no problem for most people, but we went to this hotel because their own website description of a superior room clearly says that you can relax in a bath. When we asked about a bath, we were told that a shower and a bath are "the same thing" in Turkey, so the website is not wrong! The showers could be dangerous for anybody because there is nothing to hold on to and the polished marble floor is quite slippy when wet. A non-slip floor or mat would be much safer for everyone.

A nice experience overall
The hotel Pia Bella is located on a very busy main road which is fine as long as you don't have a room overlooking it, as emergency vehicles frequently use it with two tones blaring.
The hotel itself took a bit of working out as it consists of 3 blocks, one overlooking the main road, the garden one overlooking the pool or restaurant and the posh block which looks quite new and has its own reception entrance on the road running parallel to rear of the hotel.
Our rooms were in the garden part.
Upon arrival, a porter took our bags to the room which was nicely decorated. Upon further inspection, it needed updating in places ie constant sloshing of water in the bathroom caused the bottom of the door to warp and the paintwork throughout needed attention.
The room was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable. There were several signs you could leave out, if you wanted the bed or towels changing and free bottles of water and soap/shampoo/shower caps/shoe shine kits etc were readily available along with a tea and coffee tray.
The shower was the best I have ever experienced with water almost pushing you out of the cubicle, it was that forceful and a hairdryer was provided.
We arrived in late April which is still out of season, therefore the airconditioning unit in the rooms were still set to winter mode which is heating. No big deal as the weather was not too hot to require cooling down. There was also evident maintenance being carried out which perhaps, could have been done in winter. The occasional pneumatic drill noise under our rooms was annoying.(The hotel is making a direct link via and entrance area with the Royal Casino adjacent)
Foodwise, the hotel buffet was much the same as in any hotel which offers an inclusive package. The same theme was varied each night and in the main, very tasty and plentiful.
There were a few moaning minnies in the dining room each night, only too eager to share their discontent witht he hotel, but they were taken with a pinch of salt as they are found everywhere.
There is an all night cafe bar available for lunch , snacks & drinks.
The pools and surrounding areas were spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and eager to help.
