An exceptionally pleasant and beautiful vacation at Hotel Vila Hedonija in Herceg Novi, Montenegro

The hotel is in a great location. Right above the beach. The room is neat and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good. Below the hotel to the seashore is a large walking path called Pet Danica, which is very long and well-maintained. I especially commend the lady and gentleman who work at the reception. Professional, very friendly and helpful. I recommend it to future guests.

A pleasant stay at a lovely location

Vila Hedonija is a lovely and intimate hotel located right on a pleasant beach. The staff gave us a pleasant hospitality and responded willingly to our wishes.
The rich breakfast is served in a spacious hall anf the hotel's restaurant, located below the building, offers a selection of excellent dishes.
The place is not disabled-friendly and moving from place to place requires frequent use of stairs.

Probably not four star.

We stayed as a family of four during the last week of June.
Good: the hotel is very well situated on the Pet Danica walkway, only a short walk to restaurants. For a livelier area you would need to walk a further twenty mins to Igalo where there is a bit more going on (especially for teens upwards)
The hotel is quiet, secure and rooms cleaned well daily. We stayed in room 19 which has a lovely balcony facing the sea. The pool is lovely and warm, quiet and the hotel restaurant has all you need for lunch. Breakfast is savoury based. Not your usual fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries. But ok.
Bad: The price did not reflect the service nor the environment. Communal areas are tired and could do with a good clean.
The air con is not the best, just enough to cope with the heat.
We travelled with hand luggage only (liquids restricted to 100ml) so we left out a few essentials we thought would be provided by a four star hotel. However, the bathroom provided only shampoo and body wash, neither were replaced during our 6 nights stay. There are no flannels, shower cap, body lotion, and the shower was cold three out of the six nights.
Towels are provided for the pool sun beds and changed every three days. We asked for a change halfway through our stay and had a ten minute standoff with the lady on reception who would not provide them until we had given her the dirty ones. Our sons had left the used ones in their room for the maid to collect and it was only when she rang the maid to confirm this that we were given fresh towels. It made us feel quite uncomfortable and have never experienced anything like this before.
We will be back to Herceg Novi, it’s a wonderful place, but there are cheaper options for accommodation.

Beautiful views

Small hotel with cozy and very nice rooms. Own parking and a breakfast that simply for the views is already recommended. A small pool also with unbeatable views and direct access to the promenade. If you’re driving, check it out when you’re arriving at the sign on the right so you don’t miss the ramp that takes you to the parking lot.
