Top notch accomodation in a great location
This is a family run set of apartments. We have stayed in countless hotels and apartments over the years and can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were looked after with amazing hospitality. Ever so friendly and accomodating. Our host Marija parents looked after us so well during our stay. Fantastic people, limited english( much better than my Montenegro) but always smiling and helpful. This is what staying in foreign countries is all about after all. Mixing with the locals. If needed Marija was available straight away over the phone but that was seldom required?
The accomodation itself was modern and in great condition. All kitchen amenities etc.
As for location it is only 2 mins walk to the beach and 5 mins to the old town. Up a hill but even with our bad knees it was very doable.
At times the wifi was slow but Marija rectified this by getting the modem reset. Most places are like this though. I bought a local sim for 5 euro which gave me ample data for the duration of the stay.
Highly recommended place to base yourself to explore this "Gem" of an area

OK Stay!!
We booked this as we were travelling on a budget. Difficult to find initially and a very steep ramp up to the car park which a lovely local helped us manoeuvre. We couldnt find anyone to help us initially then a call was made by someone cleaning and then one of the hosts arrived. I always check before attending if visa or cash accepted. The website said both. There was then confusion over this and we were asked to pay cash which we didnt have luckily the son of the owner came who spoke english and sorted the issue. Bit stressful for a short time. The room was basic but clean. Shower not so great and blocked quickly. However cheap basic close to centre which is what we needed. I'm sure there are may apartments like this in the area. Overall the stay was ok.

Friendly, family run apartments, good value
We were so sad to leave Montenegro this morning, it is such a beautiful place and Kotor is breathtaking. We stayed in the duplex apartment and found it to be a charming little home from home. Clean and tidy with everything you need. Washing machine is handy. Kitchen with fridge and cooking facilities. The family who run it are very friendly and always happy to help and offered coffee and snacks each time we saw them. Lovely shared terrace with spectacular views. There’s no cleaning schedule, you have to ask for bed change and we felt cheeky doing so, although we realise this is probably a silly English thing! We didn’t bother since we were only there for a week and kept the place clean and tidy ourselves. Clean towels were offered every couple of days. Only snag was the very steep hill, we are young and fairly fit and found it a challenge, not recommended for those with mobility issues, but a taxi from Kotor town is less than 2 Euros so we only climbed it a couple of times! All in all, highly recommended. Thank you Marija and your family for your hospitality and good luck for the future.

Friendly staff
The appartment is oke. It is clean and complete.
The staff is friendly. When we arrived we got coffeee and fresh fruit.
It is a pity that we don't have our own terrace. We had to use the terrace of another appartment.

Brilliant location, lovely hosts
This accommodation is in a great location to explore Kotor and the rest of Montenegro, being 5-10 minutes walk from the beautiful Old Town, beach, transport services and shopping centre. Our studio room was clean and well equipped, and the seating just outside the room had an amazing view of the mountains. We found it to be excellent value for money and really enjoyed our time there.
One of the best things about our stay at Sunrise Apartments were our friendly hosts, who couldn't do enough for us and who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. There was a language barrier, but Marija, who is fluent in English, was always happy to help us by phone.
Just one small warning - the road leading up to the apartment's car park is incredibly steep and quite narrow, so if you have a large car or are a nervous driver it might be worth parking at the bottom and walking up.
