Hidden gem
The most valuable thing about Palazzo Sbutega is its people.
Nigel has built an exceptional team and created a true hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Every member of the staff showed sincere care, warmth, and attention to even the smallest details, making our stay effortless and memorable.
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for creating such a special place. It is rare to find a hotel where you feel more like a guest in someone’s home than a customer.
I sincerely hope to return soon.

What a place! I highly recommend it
I loved every second of my stay at Palazzo Sbutega.
You are highly unlikely to find a more charming helpful and consummate host than Nigel. Ditto Filip helps Nigel and it’s just as helpful and efficient and who will make your stay a genuine pleasure.
The Palazzo itself is beautifully appointed, has been lovingly restored and decorated to the highest of standards. The rooms are spacious well ventilated and immaculately clean. To the rear of the property is the garden and swimming pool, both of which are beautiful and incredibly relaxing. At the front of the property just over the road is the sea and there is a small pontoon from which you can climb into or dive into the bay of Kotor.
If getting out and about is more your thing then Nigel and Filip will be more than happy to explain and even arrange types of day trips that you might be interested in. They are both extremely helpful beyond which you could reasonably expect of a host or their staff members.
In summary, if you are visiting this part of the world, and I strongly recommend that you do because it is beautiful, you would be well advised to think about staying at Palazzo Sbutega. I highly recommend it.

Super stay in Kotor
We have just returned from a fabulous 5 night stay at Palazzo Sbutegga. Before we arrived and throughout stay we were very well looked after which we truly appreciated. We are grateful to Nigel for making arrangements to celebrate a birthday, and everyday, for Filip's wonderful recommendations on things to do, places to eat and providing us with so much valuable and interesting information about the area.
Each day we enjoyed the walk into the old town which takes about 35 minutes, and the speedboat trip was spectacular, with a huge shout out for the quayside pick up outside our accommodation.
This stay at Palazzo Sbutegga was very comfortable, relaxing and a super base for exploring the bay of Kotor, a true home from home . We particularly enjoyed our breakfast outside every morning, which was a real treat in October !

Conveniently located guesthouse in kotor bay
Beautiful bed and breakfast ideally located in Kotor Bay. Quiet place with direct and beautiful views of the bay. Nigel and Philippe are very friendly hosts always ready to provide nice restaurants that are not tourist catches. I highly recommend and if we return to Montenegro it will undoubtedly be with them that we will stay again

A fabulous stay
We enjoyed 4 nights in the pool house at Palazzo Sbutega. The whole house, and gardens are beautifully furnished and the pool house has useful additions such as kitchen facilities to allow for some self-catering, it is the location that is the most wonderful part tho…magnificent views which can be enjoyed on the small waterfront terrace.
Nigel and Filip are excellent hosts and make it feel more like a luxury home stay than a hotel, we followed almost all of their recommendations and enjoyed each one with the pick being an incredible winery tour at Dabovic Estate Vineyard in Nudo.
We would recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a lovely relaxing break to Kotor and its beautiful surroundings.
Nigel and Filip are excellent hosts and make it feel more like a luxury home stay than a hotel, we followed almost all of their recommendations and enjoyed each one with the pick being an incredible winery tour at Dabovic Estate Vineyard in Nudo.
