Home Sweet Home

Hands down amazing time! We stayed 5 nights in room 7. It was wonderful and felt like coming home every day after an excursion or beach day. Loupe is incredible! She felt like family and like we have known each other our whole lives. Great location. I can't wait to come back and go back “home”! Jan Thiel beach and restaurants plus a supermarket less than a 5 minute drive.

Pictures are much better than reality

I saw the pictures on the website and liked the place. Little did I know that the pictures do not capture how poorly maintained the place is.
The green grass on the pictures is plastic. Yes, the pool is surrounded by plastic grass. My room had dangerous electric connection, lots of dust. There was a pile of gravel right tin the front of the property. In the back, old garbage was all over the place.
The prearranged car shuttle that I requested did cost me as much as a taxi and arrived 30 min after I arrived and called the owner (had to call from my US-based phone). The driver had another passenger. I was charged $26 USD for checking in 30 min earlier. Breakfast hours are so inconvenient that I never had one in 3 days.
The owner could not help with bus schedule or anything else.

Best B&B in Curacao

Everything here is excellent. From the first to the last day, everything is excellent. You name it, from the food ( superb breakfast ) to helpful owner & staff, rooms are clean, nicely decorated ,all amenities available. Feels like being home on your vacation .. hope to be back soon..

It Was Like Staying with Family that You Like!

You can read the other reviews to figure out that this sweet little (not really little) boutique hotel is run by a very dear, sweet lady named Lupe and that she consistently provides a wonderful experience for her quests. Lupe and her right-hand lady (please forgive me I don't recall her name) makes a different breakfast each day. You can tell they put effort into making your stay perfect! Lupe or her sons will also help out with transportation (for a fee) if you want to go beyond Jan Thiel. For example, Mambo beach is not close so it will take a car to get there.
We stayed in a suite outside of the main house which we were happy with. It overlooks the pool and affords you a bit more privacy than what is typical with B&B rooms inside the main residence. One thing to note, is that the bathroom door in this room is a sliding shutter-not a real door-that seals you and all your business off from the room. Which isn't a big issue, unless you really need a real door.
The hotel is a lovely residence in a lovely high-end neighborhood. There are high-end grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance (although Lupe et al, would almost prefer that you let her/sons take you back and forth from the hotel to the beach, free-of-charge). After a nice meal at a nearby restaurant though, it is a nice walk to help digest it all.
I could go on in more length about how much we enjoyed our stay, how we would stay again, how much I recommend this place and how sweet, helpful and charming Lupe and her family/staff are, but I think you get the picture based on my and other reviews. It's hard to imagine you could go wrong staying here-especially if you have your own transportation to get to some of the attractions further away.

Beautiful, well located hotel/B&B with friendly staff

The hotel is in the Jan Thiel area. When we booked the hotel we had no idea how convenient the hotel was to so many places. You'll want a car while in Curacao but you could do and see a lot within walking distance or a short bus ride from the hotel. We stayed in the Superior Suite. It is an ideal room with a balcony and hammock. The owner and staff are singularly focused on the guests. We had a wonderful stay.
