Fantastic experience
We had a fantastic stay at Kokkedal Castle in the guard's room. We had excellent service, had a really delicious dinner and breakfast (taste the circle!), snugged into the wing of history inside and enjoying the beautiful nature outside. The cleaning stops a little, but not enough to pull down the experience for us. We'd love to come back.

Disappointing.
We had booked a stay at the castle with high expectations for a historic experience and a nice trip in the pool and sauna.
We had on arrival booked us for dinner and breakfast.
We asked until the pool and sauna and got to know that it was unfortunately not open. Which was not described when booking.
We went on exploration around the castle to find something historic. Which was very shortage fully.
After we had been inside the dining room and see we decided to drive a trip to Brovst and cancel dinner. Since there was very dense and smelly in the dining room. Which did not give appetite.
We came back and in the room there was no possibility of streaming services. When the television was of older date.
The bathroom was characterized by being very old and dirty. shower with hair and with dirty mold exhaust.
The windows in the room were darkened and could hardly be opened and closed again. And mould off the walls next door.
On a rainy day it became a very long afternoon. With a drive around the local. Which weighed up a bit of the trip.
For breakfast there was buffet which was okay. But grums in the coffee. And fly in the milk can. Which was not done despite the indictment.
After we went a walk around the castle in the forest which was really nice but a short walk of 20 minutes for after departing.
This is not worth 4 stars.

Vi er naturligvis kede af at høre, at opholdet ikke levede op til jeres forventninger. Det er altid vores ønske, at vores gæster får en god oplevelse, og vi beklager, at I oplevede flere forhold, som skuffede jer.
Vi beklager især, hvis informationen omkring pool og sauna ikke har været tydelig nok ved booking.
Det er også beklageligt at høre om jeres oplevelse med værelset og de forhold, I beskriver omkring badeværelse, vinduer og rengøring. Den type oplevelse lever naturligvis ikke op til den standard, vi ønsker at tilbyde vores gæster, og jeres feedback vil blive taget videre internt.
Vi ville samtidig have ønsket, at I havde rettet henvendelse til personalet under opholdet, så vi havde haft mulighed for at hjælpe jer med det samme. Vi kunne blandt andet have tilbudt et andet værelse samt hjulpet med fjernsynet og vist, hvordan det fungerer.
Ligeledes er vi kede af at høre, at morgenmaden og oplevelsen i restauranten ikke levede op til forventningerne. Vi tager jeres kommentarer seriøst og vil følge op på de forhold, I nævner.
Vi er dog glade for at høre, at I nød området omkring slottet og naturen ved skoven.

Poor cleaning on worn space, dirty bathroom and mattress. Food and service good.
2 nights with breakfast and 2 and 3 dishes on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
The food failed nothing and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Rooms were in poor condition. Poor cleaning, dead insects in windows, and in tile over the beds. Spots on the bed carpet, spots on mattresses, and that was just what was easy to see.
black spots in joints in the shower cabin, as well as dark spots on the shower head. Simply for rings, at that price. It was different if you had paid 1200 kr for everything, but I have paid 3969,- for two people for everything, so I expect at least better cleaning than in cabin hotels.
The food and staff are the only reason I don't give 1 star as they did a good job, and the food was so good, both several dishes, but also the breakfast. And so the hotel generally felt that you didn't have an overview of keeping a hotel.
There were so many scraps and lack of little maintenance around on much of the hotel.
Overall, I cannot recommend accommodation here. Food and service are fine. It's fine. Rum = thumb down.

Kokkedal Slotshotel & Restaurant
Great experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings, high service and a very special tranquility over the place. The restaurant delivered food at a very high level with good raw materials and nice presentation. Staff were welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. A perfect place for a romantic getaway or a relaxing stay. We will definitely come back.

Friendly staff did everything they could with the little resources they have. Wine list with no actual wines to pick beyond the house wines. Don’t use the restaurant and eat somewhere else but come and experience a stay back in time.
