Really nice stay for our family! The hotel looks modern, everything was clean, and the room was comfortable. It had everything we needed, and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Different hotel with great views – but also some shortcomings
We stayed two nights at A Place To Hotel in Esbjerg and give a total of three big stars.
The hotel is relatively new and stands out from the traditional hotels. The building is fine and architecturally exciting with raw concrete, rustic expression and fun balconies in skewed shapes. The location is good with walking distance to the center, the harbor and the beach promenade.
We stayed in a Superior room on the 14th floor with a nice view over the harbour and all the way to Fanø. The room was well equipped with a small kitchenette and refrigerator, which was convenient. The bed was good, but was slightly squeezed into one wall, which made access less optimal.
Breakfast is served on the 17th floor, and the view from here is undoubtedly one of the hotel’s greatest assets. It is a pleasure to start the day with views of the harbour, the Vadehavet and Fanø. However, the breakfast itself was somewhat ordinary with a standard selection of bread, cheese and snacks as well as some scrambled eggs and bacon. During our stay the restaurant was very crowded, and the staff had difficulty following up to the fulfillment of the buffet.
The bathroom was functional, but the cleaning could have been better. We noticed that the toilet was not completely clean upon arrival, and some of the shelves were placed a little inappropriately, so you could easily stumble your head against them.
Another minus is the elevators. There are only two elevators to a 17-storey building, and we experienced several times waiting times of up to seven minutes, which became a little frustrating.
A big plus is the possibility of renting bicycles at the hotel. We took advantage of this and had some lovely trips to the center, the harbor and along the coast. The price is 100 kr. per bicycle per day, which we found reasonable.
Overall, A Place To Hotel is an exciting and different hotel with a stunning view and an architecture that impresses. If the hotel manages the cleaning, breakfast experience and elevator capacity, the experience can be significantly enhanced. We would like to come again, but hope for improvements in these areas.

Fantastic view of the harbour
We enjoyed the view from the 15th floor and the beautiful sunsets!
Nice that there is enough free parking in front of the door and a separate room next to the counter to safely store your bike.
Friendly welcome. We got an extra pillow with a smile so we slept better the 2nd night.

A completely different experience at a reasonable price.
For a couple of our age it was a different experience to stay at A Place to Hotel in Esbjerg. The building is exciting and it was to experience its modern architecture that we chose the place. We have to admit that everything worked, but we had to get used to the ideas behind the decor. It is primarily steel and raw concrete that characterize the building, which is 16 triangle with square floor separations. This means that the rooms are triangular like layer cake pieces and here we think the architects have slept in the hour, because there is so little space for a queensize bed that there is only access from the end and one side. The door to the balcony, which is of varying size depending on the location of the room, cannot be fully opened because it is adjacent to the bed. When you lie in bed you should also get used to looking up in a rough concrete ceiling. The bathroom with its small sink is otherwise fine decorated, and it is a good idea with the room's small kitchen with fridge, coffee machine and electric kettle. However, the basket with tea and coffee is not impressive. Here as in many other hotels, they have no idea what tea is. We never became aware of the policy the place has for bed cleaning, but there was then bed cleaning twice during the six days we were there. Breakfast in restaurant Plates on the top floor should be purchased, and it was of an OK quality, but not overwhelming. It is compensated there for with an impressive view of the ports and towards Fanø + kikkerter on all tables. Unfortunately, they also had no control of what tea is, so we brought our own tea letters.

Nice rooms with dreary location
The hotel is nice, nice rooms nice view and wonderful restaurant at the top. However, the hotel is within walking distance of anything.
